IEEE Lahore Section and University of Management and Technology, Lahore Collaborate for ICIC’24

Lahore, Pakistan - March 21, 2024

IEEE Lahore Section and the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Pakistan, have joined forces to host the prestigious "2024 International Conference on Innovative Computing (ICIC’24)." The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by both parties.

The MOU outlines the terms and responsibilities for the technical co-sponsorship of ICIC’24. Under the agreement, IEEE Lahore Section will provide technical expertise, while UMT will serve as the financial co-sponsoring party. The conference is scheduled to take place on the 23rd and 24th of October 2024 at the University of Management and Technology in Pakistan.

Key highlights of the MOU include:

Duration and Scope: The MOU addresses the rights and obligations for the conference, with no obligation for renewal.

Technical Co-sponsorship: IEEE Lahore Section will be directly involved in organizing the technical program of the conference.

Financial Liability: UMT will bear the financial responsibility for the conference.

Responsibilities: UMT and IEEE Lahore Section will jointly develop the technical program, constitute committees, and ensure IEEE standards for paper submissions and reviews.

Both parties have committed to adhering to the IEEE Code of Ethics and ensuring equal representation in all conference materials and promotions.

Prof. Syed Dr. Waqar ul Qounain, Chair of the Conference Committee for IEEE Lahore Section, and Prof. Dr. Atif Alvi, Dean SST for UMT, signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organizations.

The signing of the MOU marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between IEEE Lahore Section and UMT, paving the way for a successful and impactful ICIC’24.
