Your answers should match the audio directly and typically consist of 1–3 words. For example, if the speaker says, “The GP sent me to see an osteopath,” your answer could be osteopath or an osteopath. Avoid altering word forms or adding unnecessary words.

The text around the questions provides clues about the conversation and helps you predict the type of answers required. For instance, if the heading says, “Pain located in,” expect to hear a specific body part in the audio.

Ensure your answers make grammatical and logical sense. For example, intense is grammatically incorrect if the answer requires a noun, and America would be illogical in most cases. Use the preparation time to predict possible answers.

Expect synonyms or alternative phrases rather than exact matches to the words in the question.

The speakers will use synonyms or express ideas differently. Focus on understanding the meaning rather than looking for identical words.

Words like but, however, so, and because often signal crucial information. For example, “Patients worry that shaving causes the condition, BUT there’s no evidence of this.” The but signals a key contrast.
𝟓. 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐝
Even if you hear a familiar word or idea, don’t stop paying attention. The audio often contains information related to all answer options, and only careful listening will lead to the correct choice.
