Consider the following two sentences about a parent talking to their child at the time of their result:

“This is good but had you studied a bit harder, you could have achieved 90% marks”.
“This is very good and the next time, with a little more effort, you can achieve 90% marks.”

There’s a complete shift in psychology in terms of both of these sentences. One of them discredits the achievement of the child which would most definitely result in demotivation in striving for better results in the next exams. The other motivates the child into performing better in the next exam without discrediting their current achievement. This results in a boost in morale.

The use of the words “and” & “but” seems quite insignificant at first but these words can make a world of difference in terms of motivation for us. The same can be applied to all walks of life including employer/employee interactions.

Once again, I feel immensely proud to announce that the students of PAC have secured 7 out of 10 Gold Medals along with the only Certificate of Merit announced by ICAP in this term’s ICAP result. This result is significant for 3 reasons:

1. Students of PAC secured 8 out of a total of 11 distinctions. For a single college to achieve such a high number of distinctions shows the level of hard work and quality of education students get.
2. The Gold Medals for overall performance in All CA Papers, CFAP Papers and CFAP & MSA papers also shows that students get the absolute best teachers and guidance throughout the various stages of their CA journey for all subjects.
3. Among these distinction holders, the students of PAC School of Online Learning have performed equally well. This shows that if given the right platform and the proper commitment, students can do just as well by studying online.
In the end, I wish to congratulate these students, their parents, the faculty members and all the staff members of PAC for this tremendous result. I hope that we continue to pay back the trust that the students and their parents put in us by enrolling at PAC with many more accolades.

As we celebrate another successful PAC result session for CA & ACCA where our CAF students scored 1 Gold medal and 1 Certificate of Merit in CAF exams while our ACCA students scored 1 international and 4 national distinctions in ACCA exams.
I feel immensely elated to share with all of you that our students have now scored a collective 50 Gold Medals in ICAP examinations while our certificates of merit count has amassed to 160. This isn’t merely about these 50 and 160 students. It is a collective journey of the efforts of their parents and hundreds of teachers and coordinators who have worked behind the scenes to ensure they provide the best possible education to students. It is the effort of everyone who has been associated with PAC since day one and above all, it is about the vision of my late friend Ishfaq Ahmed.
From Ali Zeb in 1992 to Shehryar Waseem in 2022, it has indeed been a success story of hard work, commitment and perseverance. I congratulate all the alumni, faculty, staff and current student body of PAC who have contributed towards this great achievement.

Always a pleasure to welcome CAF students back to campus. Today, our physical CAF classes have started. I was immensely pleased to learn that when I asked which of our students had gotten vaccinated, more than 90% students raised their hands. Along with SOPs compliance and in addition to our 100% staff being vaccinated, this will help us provide a safe & comfortable environment for students to study in.

If we, as a country and as a government, place utmost importance on only two things, we can prosper much quicker. One, If we place value on human life, we would think twice about allocating budgets to healthcare and commodities, or issuing driving licenses through underhand payments, or issuing work permits to sub-par contractors for infrastructure development.

Second, if we hold human dignity in high regard, we would disregard nepotism and offer jobs purely on merit, we would feel the pain of millions standing in long lines for medical treatement and work on improving healthcare, we would improve our judicial system to ensure justice is served timely, we would strengthen our police force to safeguard the rights of our citizens, we would work hard to bring the cost of commodities down to ensure no one goes to sleep on an empty stomach.

A day before ICAP’s CFAP’s Advanced Taxation paper, the budget was announced in the parliament. This meant, that much of what was part of the exam syllabus, would change in the coming weeks and months. Passing the paper would guarantee a certificate but not practical relevance. Such is the demand & need of the day.

Whatever walk of life we belong to, we must pursue knowledge everyday, work towards acquiring new skills and upgrading the knowledge gained in the past. The current globalised and fast paced world requires as such.

With great pride, we welcome students back after a hiatus of more than 6 months. I am pleased to see that students, staff & teachers alike, are following the SOPs. We’ve also been encouraging students to get vaccinated as soon as possible through live webinars and in-campus social awareness campaigns. Pakistan has fought hard to flatten the 3rd wave and it is our responsibility as citizens to compliment the efforts of our healthcare workers & government.

On a personal note, I am looking forward to taking physical classes again. The actual human interaction of physical classes provides some extra bit of energy and zeal that is sometimes missing in online classes.

It is always a pleasure to interact with students. This Tuesday, I will be speaking with recent CAF Qualified students to discuss a proper roadmap for their CFAP studies to assist them in completing their CFAP & MSA within their articleship period! This session is open for all students to attend!

I would like to extend my best wishes to the students of AFC (first level of CA) who are due to appear in their exams starting tomorrow. These students joined PAC through our Online “Home to Home” study model back when COVID-19 was at its peak and the country was in a state of lockdown.

These students started their education online and became the first among their cohort to start their higher education showing tremendous will of character and determination to not let anything get in the way of their studies.

Same determination will see these students achieve outstanding results in their CA as well as their lives ahead
