On the 28th of July 2022, the Department of Career Services & Corporate Linkages (CSCL), UOL, in collaboration with Anti-Narcotics Forces (ANF), Pakistan, hosted an exclusive seminar on "Saving Lives: Drug Abuse and Prevention" at the Defence Road Campus. Dr. Maryam Kiani (Director, CSCL and EDC) oversaw the event's organization under the guidance of Mr. Awais Roof (Chairman, BoG) and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf (Rector, UOL). Major General Ghulam Shabeer Narejo (DG-ANF) addressed the first session comprising of Vice Chancellors and representatives of various institutes from all over Pakistan and Deans and HoDs of UOL on the facts and figures about narcotics in Pakistan; routes through which they are smuggled into the country; their effects; and effective ways of mitigating their usage in academic institutions. The same topics were discussed with the students during the second session, with a focus on the harmful consequences of drugs and how to prevent them. The Rector presented souvenirs on behalf of UOL to the ANF team and Vice Chancellors.

On May 24, 2022, the Faculty of Pharmacy organised a workshop titled "Pharma Inspection with Deep Learning in Tablet Manufacturing," which was aimed at explicating the challenges surfacing in the pharmaceutical industry. During the workshop, Dr. Yasir Mehmood (Head QA, Saffron Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.), the guest speaker, delivered a lecture on the key aspects of inspection, with emphasis on the role of pharmacists in implementing the Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) and improvising problem-solving skills. Prof. Dr. Nisar Hussain Shah (Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy) and Dr. Kishwar Sultana (HoD, Department of Pharmacy) presented a shield to the guest speaker as a token of gratitude.
