Dr. Sultan Ahmad Botanical Society Hosts Tree Plantation Ceremony in Honor of Prof. Dr. Ikram ul Haq

Lahore, August 22, 2025 – The Dr. Sultan Ahmad Botanical Society, Government College University Lahore, had the distinguished honor of hosting a tree plantation ceremony to celebrate the conferment of the Hilal-e-Imtiaz 2025 upon Prof. Dr. Ikram ul Haq, ICESCO Laureate, SI, HI.

The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Ikram ul Haq and Sir Tariq Rizwan, who personally planted a tree symbolizing their lifelong commitment to sustainability, education, and environmental stewardship. The event was coordinated under the leadership of the Society’s President, Abdullah Hassan, and attended by faculty members and students of the Department of Botany.

This plantation was part of the broader celebrations organized by the Department of Botany, where faculty, led by Prof. Dr. Tehreema Iftikhar (Chairperson), presented a best wishes card and extended heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Dr. Ikram ul Haq The gathering included sweets, cake, and tea, reflecting the pride of the academic community in his national recognition.
