A Memorable Evening of Recognition, Inspiration & Industry Connections

Alhamdulillah, it was an honour for Engr Rabia Fiaz to be recognized as a “Social Media Influencer in Solar Energy” at the 3rd International Solar Power Conclave & Solar Technology Excellence Awards 2026, organized by Energy Update at Nishat Hotel, Lahore.

The award was presented by Punjab Energy Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar, making the moment even more special.

From meeting respected government representatives and energy-sector leaders to connecting with leading personalities from Pakistan’s solar and renewable-energy industry, the evening was filled with meaningful conversations and memorable moments.

I am truly grateful to receive this recognition from Punjab Energy Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar. This award is a great encouragement for my efforts as an MS Electrical Engineer, Founder of FiRab Tech, Technology Educator, and Social Media Influencer, where I strive to share useful and practical knowledge about electrical engineering, solar energy, and modern technology with the public.

یونیورسٹی آف ٹیکساس کے انجینئرز نے ایک دلچسپ ٹیکنالوجی تیار کی ہے جو ہوا میں موجود نمی کو حاصل کرکے اسے پانی میں تبدیل کرنے کے لیے سورج کی روشنی سے حاصل ہونے والی توانائی استعمال کرتی ہے۔ یعنی ایک ایسی جیکٹ جو ہوا کی نمی اور سورج کی روشنی کو استعمال کرکے پانی تیار کرنے کی صلاحیت رکھتی ہے۔

یہ ٹیکنالوجی مستقبل میں پانی کی کمی والے علاقوں، دور دراز مقامات، بیرونی سرگرمیوں اور ایسی ہنگامی یا قدرتی آفات کی صورتحال میں خاص طور پر مددگار ثابت ہو سکتی ہے جہاں صاف پینے کے پانی تک رسائی مشکل ہوتی ہے۔

ہوا سے پانی، اور سورج سے توانائی!
اگر یہ ٹیکنالوجی مزید ترقی کرتی ہے تو شاید مستقبل میں ہماری پہننے والی چیزیں صرف ہمیں محفوظ رکھنے کے لیے نہیں ہوں گی، بلکہ ہماری بنیادی ضروریات پوری کرنے میں بھی مدد کریں گی۔

What if your jacket could start producing drinking water from the air around you?

Engineers at the University of Texas have developed an innovative technology that captures moisture from the air and uses energy from sunlight to turn it into water. In other words, it is a jacket designed with the ability to use moisture from the air and sunlight to produce water.

This technology could potentially be especially useful in water-scarce regions, remote locations, outdoor activities, and emergency or disaster situations where access to clean drinking water can be difficult.

Water from air, powered by sunlight! If this technology continues to develop, perhaps in the future, the things we wear will not only help protect us but could also help meet some of our basic needs.
