A Memorandum of Understanding ( ) has been signed between the Department of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Management and Technology - UMT and Shams Power Limited .

Distinguished clients include Cash & Carry Pakistan, -Cola, Motors, and more, attesting to operational excellence.
Holder of a Distribution License from since 2019, Shams Power is recognized as a reputable and authorized energy service provider in Pakistan.
Engaged in collaborative initiatives, the recent MoU with focuses on training programs, assistance, and job opportunities for students.
Shams Power Limited and UMT have agreed on the following:
1. Implementation of a comprehensive program for UMT engineering students, covering and skills and providing required resources.
2. Shams Power to extend research assistance for UMT students and faculty members.
3. Shams Power to actively connect UMT students with job and internship opportunities within its .
4. UMT to share the database of engineering students and alumni with Shams Power for recruitment and industry awareness sessions.
5. Cross-university collaboration, allowing students from other institutions to attend Solar " " training sessions hosted by Shams Power at UMT.
6. Utilization of UMT venues by Shams Power for organizing training sessions, workshops, and events beneficial to UMT students.

Farewell for Dr. Shakeel Ahmad. He is leaving for a postdoc in the area of integrated circuit design.

The Office of Information and Admissions (OIA) at the University of Management and Technology is going to organize Open House session. A paper written by Bilal Sher Khan Shirwani and Marriam Sikander (undergrad Electrical Engineering students, recently graduated) entitled 'Communication Based Sensing Technologies Integrated in Levels of Vehicular Autonomy' has been accepted for presentation and publication at 9th IEEE International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications (WINCOM'22) scheduled to be held at Rabat, Morocco in the last week of October. The conference is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Communications System Society. This work was supervised by the Electrical Engineering faculty member Dr. Faran Awais Butt.
