Reciting the Qur'aan with tajweed

We should never feel bad, sad, down, depressed if we cannot read well yet or dont know any tajweed rules firsly most of us are non-arabs & when we recite with difficulty we get double the reward so then why do we feel sad that we cant recite as most arabs do..

‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, relates that the Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said:

Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Perhaps the arabs might be more jealous of us missing out on these double rewards Allahu Akbar (*)

Secondly is that reading Qur’aan with the rules of tajweed is not obligatory; tajweed is only a means of making one’s recitation more beautiful. If a person reads and pronounces the letters clearly with the vowels as marked, then this is sufficient. With regard to the verse in which Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “and recite the Quran (aloud) in a slow, (pleasant tone and) style” [al-Muzzammil 73:4], that does not refer to tajweed; rather what is meant is to read it at a measured pace.

So no more sadness, keep learning, seek knowledge, check ur intention, work on ur link with Allah, make good effort, increase in dua & the Almighty will reward us by our intention & effort in trying Alhamdulillah (F)
