Our 5 weeks "Architecture for All" course with Homeschoolers has ended. This was an amazing learning journey for me as this was the first time to give my course onsite. Definitely much more fun than online classes. 🥳

I'm so amazed with homeschooling community for standing against societies expectations and creating their own unique utopia. I've been working with HS community long enough to know that it takes a great courage. May Allah give barakat to all their efforts. 💚

None of the kids wanted the class to finish and they would keep on working on their projects. I'm so grateful to be the teacher of that class. And I'm so grateful to get to meet with such brilliant young minds. Thank you all for joining. 🎓

This semester I got the opportunity to give my "Architecture for All" course onsite for the first time. Definitely much more fun than online classes. It was an amazing learning journey for me. 🎓
This is normally a 20 weeks course but this time I did a concentrated 5 weeks version of it.
I'll share kids projects in the next post. This one is to share the content of my book&course.

Theory: Landforms & Landscaping

Activity: "Enchanted Castle"

Week 3: "Structure"
Theory: Organic, Geodesic, Paraboloid, Tensile, Kinetic, Parametric, 3D printing, Origami
Activity: "Tomorrowland"

Week 4: "Material"
Theory: Natural & Man-made materials
Activity: "Mitti ka Ghar"

Week 5: "Color"
Theory: Fresco, Renaissance, Calligraphy, Carving, Vitray
Activity: "Pirates Lost Treasure Chest"

I'm keep on coming back to "Light" topic because c'mon look at this. Like how it is almost like a solid object dancing between leaves and even through galaxies. Go and watch "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" 5th episode if you are also obsessed with light topic. Lebanese photographer Serge Najjar’s “The Architecture of Light" series is also definately should be seen.

For architects, light is a fascinating element to play with. It can become the star of the show.

Mothers workshop. 💃🏻

No, you don't have to be a mother. This workshop is open for all sisters. 👭🏻

I kept on hearing from mothers "This looks so fun, I also wanna do it" whenever they bring their kids to my workshops, so let's do it. 🥳

Recently I really feel the need of some mommy meeting, some productive time away from children responsibilities, if you feel the same Let's meet up. 👭🏻 Maybe Tuesdays 9:30 to 11 am (near Shadman area). I was invited to .mondiale yesterday, second time, as a guest speaker. I just love the energy of kids and I feel so blessed that I get to talk about architecture with such excited audience. 🥳🥰 After a brief general architectural introduction, we talked about "Parametric Design" and how it is applied in many famous architects works around the world. 🌍🏗 Thank you so much for this kind invitation. 😇

This is an online architectural course for kids aged 8+. We will learn about architecture while traveling the world.

28 countries, 56 structures, 5 projects.

Projects will be in downloadable format so you can register from abroad as well. You can also purchase the material kit (separately) from anywhere in Pakistan. (Not compulsory)
