The Directorate of Animal Disease Reporting and Surveillance (ADRS), along with District Laboratories across the Punjab, celebrated **Independence Day** with a flag hoisting and cake-cutting ceremony in a spirit of patriotism and national pride.

The ceremony at the Directorate of ADRS was attended by **Dr. Sajjad Hussain, Director General Research; Dr. Syed Nadeem Badar, Director General Extension; Dr. Kanwar Muhammad Naeem, Director General Production; Dr. Usman Tahir, Additional Secretary Technical; Dr. Halima Sadia, Director ADRS; Dr. Asfa Rafool, Director VRI; Dr. Atia Bukhari, Director P&E; Dr. Khaliq Shafi, Director Communication; Dr. Mudassar Nadeem, Deputy Secretary Technical**, along with other officers of ADRS.

The occasion was marked by flag hoisting, cake cutting, prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, and a renewed commitment to serving the nation with dedication and responsibility.

Today, a meeting to finalize the Vaccination Schedule/Plan for the year 2026–27 was held in the Committee Room, Directorate of Animal Disease Diagnostic, Reporting & Surveillance (ADDRS), VRI Lahore Cantt, under the chairmanship of Director General (Research), Dr. Sajjad Hussain.

The meeting was attended by the Director General (Extension), Director VRI, Director ADDRS, Additional Director FMDRC, and Additional Director Cold Chain Supply System.

During the meeting, the Directorate General (Extension) presented the proposed district-wise vaccination schedule and vaccine requirements for the year 2026–27.

Today, a Capacity Building Training Session on the Biological Production Modules developed under the Digitization of L&DD ADP was held at the ADDRS Auditorium, Veterinary Research Institute (VRI), Lahore, under the chairmanship of Director VRI, Dr. Asfa Rasool.

The training session was attended by Officer In-charges and relevant officers to familiarize them with the newly developed modules and facilitate effective data entry and utilization of the developed system.
