Today, the Veterinary Research Institute Lahore successfully completed its ISO 9001:2015 surveillance audit, reflecting our ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards in veterinary research and services.
Director VRI, Dr. Asfa Rasool, appreciated the efforts of the entire VRI Lahore team for their dedication, coordination, and professionalism throughout the audit process.

Today, a delegation from M/s Lebak Trading Company S.A., Uruguay visited the Veterinary Research Institute (VRI), Lahore.
A meeting was held in the Committee Room, VRI Lahore under the chairmanship of Dr. Sajjad Hussain to conduct a knowledge-sharing session with the visiting guests.

A meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of the Director General (Research) with key officials including the Director General (Extension), Director ADDRS and Epidemiologist. The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss the spread of Lumpy Skin Disease (L*D) in Punjab province and risk of dissemination of livestock in large scale in the lead-up to the Eid ul Azha. The decision taken in meeting emphasized the urgent need for increased monitoring and preventive measures to ensure the health and safety of Livestock population. All district in-charges are directed to closely monitor the L*D cases in cattle mandies and tanneries and to conduct sampling where necessary. Furthermore it was decided that all the necessary steps will be taken to ensure control & prevention of L*D, and that the surveillance teams are fully prepared to address the challenges during the upcoming Eid.

Director Veterinary Research Institute Dr Asfa Rasool from Livestock Department Punjab visited UVAS called on Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani (Izaz-i-Fazeelat) while Acting Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf and Registrar Sajjad Hyder were also present on the occasion.

Today the Management Review meeting of all technical staff regarding (ISO 9001:2015) was conducted under the chairpersonship of Director VRI, Dr.Asfa Rasool.

Today, a meeting on rightsizing and restructuring of the Livestock & Dairy Development Department (L&DD), Punjab was held at the Veterinary Research Institute (VRI), Lahore under the convenership of DG Research, Dr. Sajjad Hussain.
The session focused on reviewing existing posts, vacant positions, and rationalization across different directorates, along with proposed restructuring plans to improve efficiency and performance.

Today, a technical inspection panel from the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) visited VRI Lahore to inspect the facility’s layout, process flow, and compliance with required standards.

The second meeting of the TA Selection Committee was held today at the Auditorium of Veterinary Research Institute (VRI), Lahore. The meeting focused on key matters related to the TA selection process, ensuring transparency and effective decision-making.

The Secretary Livestock, Punjab, Mr. Ahmad Aziz Tarar, visited the Veterinary Research Institute (VRI), Lahore today to review the progress of ADP schemes and ongoing initiatives within the institute.
During the visit, Director General Research, Dr. Sajjad Hussain, accompanied the Secretary and provided a detailed briefing followed by a stakeholder dialogue session aimed at supporting and enhancing value addition and processing in the livestock sector.
