“Night surveys brought an exciting encounter—a ___fox crossing our path under the stars. Moments like these make fieldwork unforgettable.”
“Retrieving camera traps from the field—every snapshot tells a story of wildlife, patience, and persistence.”
“Afternoon in the dense forest, setting up camera traps—patience, precision, and a front-row seat to wildlife in their natural world.”
“Foggy skies and low visibility across Kashmir—but the field team is ready. New surveys, new data, same commitment to science.”
Footage of a___ Fox captured during night surveys in the Thal Desert. This small, elusive canid is primarily nocturnal and well adapted to arid and semi-arid landscapes. Observations like these provide important insights into its activity patterns, habitat use, and persistence within desert scrub ecosystems.

🕛 Night-time survey
Distinct vocalizations of the Bengal Fox were recorded during night surveys in the Thal Desert. This nocturnal canid is highly adapted to arid and semi-arid landscapes, where it uses calls for communication, territory defense, and coordination. Acoustic records like these provide valuable evidence of presence in low-visibility desert conditions and complement camera-trap and sign surveys.
