On this occasion, Sindh Education Foundation, Government of Sindh, along with Sindh Environmental Protection Agency and Ghazali Educational Society, launched a โ€œMega Tree Plantation Campaignโ€ in the Foundation Assisted Schools and Non-Formal Education Centers of Tharparkar.

Along with this, a special conference was also organized on the theme *"Promotion of Education in Sindh and Empowerment of Girls through Education, Skills and Job Opportunities "*. The aim was to equip the daughters of Thar with knowledge and skills to make them self-reliant.

Certificates were also distributed among the students of the AALTP Non-Formal Education Center during the event. These are the children who successfully completed Package-C in collaboration with Sindh Education Foundation and Ghazali Educational Society. The joy on the children's faces while receiving their certificates was proof that education is the real freedom.

Assistant Commissioner Mithi, Dr. Umair Ashraf, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest.

The Guests of Honor included Naresh Kumar, District Head of Sindh Education Foundation; Arjun Suthar, District Education Officer Literacy Tharparkar; Shahid ur Rehman, District In-charge SEPA; Hamza Khalid Arain, Executive Member of the Federal Union of Digital Media; and Adil Shehzad, General Secretary of Ghazali Educational Society.

On this occasion, officers and representatives from District Administration 1122, SECMC, EPTL, and Shanghai Electric also participated and reaffirmed their commitment that the children of Thar will not be deprived of the light of education.

During the conference, Mr. Abid Gil, Deputy Chief Advisor of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA); Ms. Marvi Awan, CEO of Women Protection Center; Ms. Asma Nawab from Sanjh Preet Organization; Ms. Asma Aamir, Vice President of the Handicraft Association of Pakistan; Ms. Nazia Naz, Communication Officer of the Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh; Mr. Ismail Mehr, General Secretary of New Hope Foundation; and social leader Narendra Kumar joined live as guests and shared their views on promoting girls' education and skills.

At the conclusion of the event, the esteemed guests were presented with commemorative shields and traditional Sindhi Ajrak as a gift.

On this occasion, the guests and participants said:
"The saplings planted in Tharparkar today will become mighty trees tomorrow. And the girls who are holding the pen today will shape the future of Thar."

Because an educated girl is the guarantee of a bright family and a progressive Pakistan.

Eco-Initiative: 400+ Plants Provided to Sindh Education Foundation, District Tharparkar (Mithi)

On August 10, 2026, the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF), Government of Sindh, District Tharparkar at Mithi, launched a green drive by adding over 400+ potted plants to local educational facilities to foster an eco-friendly learning environment.

The initiative was supported by the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), Government of Sindh, alongside the Ghazali Educational Society, which provided the plants.

This eco-drive aims to beautify Foundation-Assisted Schools and Adolescent and Adult Learning and Training Program (AALTP) Non-Formal Education Centers across Mithi, Tharparkar. Beyond aesthetic improvement, the campaign seeks to promote environmental awareness and provide students with a refreshing, healthy atmosphere conducive to holistic growth.

"We are nurturing both young minds and a greener future," officials stated regarding the initiative.
