The department has officially been registered with the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC), marking a significant achievement in advancing quality nursing education and professional excellence.

"نرسز کے عالمی دن پر دنیا بھر اور بالخصوص پاکستان میں شعبہ طب سے منسلک مرد و خواتین نرسز کی انسانیت کی بے لوث خدمت پر خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتا ہوں۔ انسانیت کے خدمت گاروں کی بیش قدر خدمات باعثِ فخر ہیں۔ بیماریوں سے دوچار مریضوں کے لیے نرسز کی تیمارداری انسانی خدمت کے جذبے کی عکاس ہے۔ کسی بھی ملک میں صحت کی بنیادی سہولیات کی عوام تک باآسانی اور مؤثر فراہمی نرسز کی خدمات کے بغیر ممکن نہیں۔ وفاقی حکومت ملک میں یہ تناسب مزید بہتر کرنے کے لیے پُرعزم ہے۔ اس تناظر میں تمام متعلقہ اداروں اور صوبائی حکومتوں کے ساتھ حکمتِ عملی پر کام جاری ہے۔"

Notification for Physical Classes

The distribution of laptops under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme has officially commenced at Kohat University of Science & Technology (KUST). This initiative aims to empower students by enhancing their access to modern technology and supporting their academic and research activities.

The ceremony was organized under the guidance of Vice Chancellor . Dr.Syed Zafar Ilyas, who highlighted the importance of such programs in opening new academic opportunities for students. He emphasized that access to laptops will significantly improve students’ abilities in research, online learning, and digital skill development ;key requirements in today’s fast-evolving educational landscape.

The event was also attended by distinguished guests including Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, Vice Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad, and Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Vice Chancellor of Gomal University. Both appreciated the initiative and acknowledged its positive impact on students’ educational growth.

The distribution process is being supervised by Mr. Muhammad Zeeshan, Additional Director Academics and Super Focal Person for the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme. In line with the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan, all necessary measures have been taken to ensure a transparent and well-organized distribution process.

The Department of Nursing, KUST, appreciates this valuable initiative and looks forward to seeing its positive impact on students’ academic journey and professional development.
