A friend recently asked me how one keeps their faith when the innocent children, families face such monstrosities. How can one hold onto their faith? I’m not the expert and when it comes to me, my mom leaving was beyond any hardship I could bear. The resilience of the Palestinian people strengthened my own belief in Qadr Allah and His infinite wisdom & mercy.
My reply to her:
Learning from them and their cries of Hasbunallah wa Nimal wakeel. They are living the through the atrocities with only patience and strength. It’s them that gives me faith. They know Allah’s promise is true. Life is temporary, pain temporary. His wisdom infinite and incomprehensible to us.

My kids inspired me to write, and I’m still learning, but I’m grateful to Allah, my little ones, and this corner of Instagram for guiding me on this journey. I found my first writing notebook recently, filled with scribbles and my toddler’s artwork - it’s amazing how fast time flies! Those moments when they’d sn**ch my notebook and run off, wanting to play, are etched in my memory. It’s a reminder to cherish every moment.

THE LAST DIET
By I started reading The Last Diet on a car ride to Downtown Chicago. We stopped for food at Bundoo Khan, and I couldn’t help but laugh at the irony of reading a diet book while surrounded by delicious food. I even took a picture as a joke! 🤣
This was after COVID hit, and like many, I had gained some weight. On the way back, what I initially took lightly became something much more profound. The book drew me in with its unique blend of personal storytelling and practical advice. What really stood out were the writing exercises and prompts, which helped me create a personalized plan.
The author not only shares her journey but also guides you through your own, making the experience both introspective and empowering. It pushes you to dig deep, become vulnerable, and if you’re anything like me, maybe even get a bit emotional.
Oh, and by the way, this book helped me lose ten pounds in two months—all while doing something I love: reading and writing. The Last Diet is the ultimate guide for bookworms looking to shed some pounds while doing what they love most-READING!
