Press Release
Sukkur, "14-02-2025" The All Sindh Law Students' Association, Division Sukkur strongly condemns the illegal tampering and unethical manipulation of the Central Election conducted on February 8. This election, in which 1,400 members exercised their right to vote, was compromised by the Election Commission’s biased actions in favor of its associates, including members of the selected Board of Directors panel.
The Election Commission deliberately withheld the results for more than 28 hours, altered the vote sequence without candidate consent, and forcefully expelled polling agents from the counting session, subjecting them to humiliation. Additionally, the commission ignored candidates’ applications and fraudulently rejected votes on a massive scale, including:
95% of Karachi Division votes
50% of Sukkur Division votes
60% of Hyderabad Division votes
40% of votes from Larkana, Mirpurkhas, and Shaheed Benazirabad Divisions
These actions demonstrate clear partiality* and a deliberate attempt to manipulate the election outcome in favor of specific individuals.
In response, the All Sindh Law Students' Association, Division Sukkur, rejects the fraudulent election results and demands:
1. Immediate re-conduction of fair and transparent elections under an independent body.
2. Resignation of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Election Commission, as they have lost credibility and cannot be trusted to uphold electoral integrity.
Failure to address these demands will result in legal and democratic action to protect the rights of voters and restore fairness to the electoral process.
