As a part of mental health initiatives in the month of October 2025, IPP BS 7A internship students visited UJALA PVA to engage in a series of creative and therapeutic activities aimed at promoting mental well-being. Through collaborative exercises like 'Chain of Kindness,' 'Tree of Inclusivity,' crown-making, deep breathing, sensory exploration and cognitive motor games, students and participants explored emotional expression, inclusivity, and mindfulness. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering empathy, creativity, and mental health awareness within the community. 💚

A heartfelt thank you to voice association Ujala and Ms. Malaika for facilitating this enriching experience for our students. Your dedication to inclusivity and mental well-being is truly inspiring. 🙏

"Navigating Headspace: Dealing with Stress & Anxiety"
Mental health awareness workshops were conducted at DM School System, KAECHS Campus, Karachi by the passionate postgraduate students of Institute of Professional Psychology - BU, specially designed for Grade 10th and 11th students. Under the supervision of Ms. Rabail Bashir and Ms. Rabia Muzaffar.the session focused on creating awareness about anxiety, how it affects us, and practical coping strategies to manage stress and emotional challenges.

IPP Bahria Karachi collaborated with MITE University Karachi to host 'Heal and Grow' session at MITE TMUC university.

This initiative focused on student self-awareness and counselling, helping students prioritize their mental well-being as they start the new semester. Post graduate students of M.Phil and MS conducted the camp under the supervision of Ms. Rabia Muzaffar and Ms. Rabail Bashir

Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP) conducted an awareness session at IPP for Post Graduate students on 14th Jan, 2025

This session focused on building understanding and inclusion for individuals with Down syndrome. These opportunities are vital for breaking misconceptions, creating empathy, and building more informed communities. We are delighted by this collaborative effort and are excited to work on future initiatives together to further promote inclusivity.

The post graduate students of IPP, Bahria University had the privilege of visiting Sahara Village. This was an incredible opportunity to connect with the residents and engage in meaningful activities that focused on emotional well-being and mindfulness.

The activity was conducted in collaboration with Bahria University Health Sciences’s project team of Alzheimer’s Awareness.

The postgrad psychology interns held a mental health camp at Al Azhar Garden on 26th Oct, 2024.

Engaging the geriatric population in fun activities, the camp emphasized the importance of mental health, fostering a sense of community and well-being while educating everyone about how vital mental health is for a fulfilling life.

The participant engaged enthusiasticaly and also shared their wisdom and life experiences.

Seminar " Career Counselling and Mental Well-being in Educational Set-up”

Institute of Professional Psychology, Bahria University, Organized a Seminar on 28th October, 2024, at Al-Beruni auditorium, Bahria university Karachi campus.

IPP organized this seminar in collaboration with Pakistan Psychological association as a part of the events leading to their 15th Annual Conference with the theme of “Navigating Applied Fields of Psychology: Research, Practices, and Current Developments in Pakistan”
the event was specially graced by the founder and first director of IPP, Prof. Dr Farrukh Z Ahmad. She also engaged the students with her story of journey in the field of Psychology and the stepping stones to Establishment of IPP.

Dr Rubina Kidwai and Prof. Dr Sobia Aftab spoke about theme . The seminar emphasized the critical role of career counselling and mental well-being in fostering a supportive educational environment. Participants left equipped with practical strategies to enhance career guidance and support mental health for students and educators alike.
