For the consecutive 3rd year, Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization, NEDUET (ORIC-NEDUET) and the 2nd time running, 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (BIC-NEDUET) have achieved the 𝐓𝐨𝐩 "𝐖" 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 from the HEC Pakistan for 𝐅𝐘: 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑-𝟐𝟒, placing them among the 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 (𝟎𝟑) 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 achieving "𝐖" 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 out of more than 200 Universities/HEIs.

Alhamdullilah, it is a pleasure to share that NED University of Engineering and Technology's Business Incubation Center (BIC) 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐂-𝐍𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐄𝐓 Ranking via BIC Scorecard FY 2022-23 Validation achieved "82 points out of 100" in Higher Education Commission Pakistan (HEC) BIC Annual Scorecard FY 2022-23 making it among Top 5 'W' category ranked BICs out of 38 notified BICs of HEC in the country.

It is a pleasure to share that NED University of Engineering and Technology's Research, Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization - NED University (𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐂-𝐍𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐄𝐓) Ranking via ORIC Scorecard FY 2022-23 Validation achieved "81 points out of 100" in HEC ORIC Annual Scorecard FY 2022-23 making it among Top 4 'W' category ranked ORICs out of 78 notified ORICs of HEC in the country. Last year, it ranked in 'W' too.

Day-1 (22-11-2023): British Council PAK-UK Mobility Program for faculty and students (Consortium of Six Universities across Pakistan and UK) Dr. Riaz Uddin - Lead from NED University of Engineering and Technology
It was wonderful to host 14 members Coventry University UK cohort (consisting of Eminent Professors, Researchers and PhD Scholars at NED University of Engineering and Technology - Karachi who were warmly welcome by Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Tufail, Haptics Human Robotics and Condition Monitoring Lab - NCRA and Team of Professors & Researchers of NEDUET. The aim is to create highly fundable, multidisciplinary and international proposals to tackle Sustainable Development Goals with a particular emphasis on the use of humanitarian engineering, AI, Robotics, and living lab techniques. The key mobility activities of the Day-1 at NEDUET were as follows:
1) Inaugural Meeting in VC secretariat under the leadership of Prof. Dr. M. Tufail followed by a detailed presentation about NEDUET by Dr. Muhammad Wasif (Director QEC)
2) Visit of Haptics Human-Robotics and Condition Monitoring Lab-NCRA NEDUET followed by Comprehensive Presentation of Lab Research Activities by Dr. Riaz Uddin (Director NCRA-NEDUET and Director ORIC), mobility tasks and demonstration of indigenous development of products by lab
3) Visit of Engr. Abul Kalam Library and briefing on working of different sections of the library by Chief Librarian and Officers
4) Visit and Comprehensive Presentation of Research Activities at NED University Virtual Reality Center by Farrukh Arif, Ph.D. (Director VRC-NEDUET) with the demonstration of lab activities and products
5) Visit of Civil Engineering Department Labs and Research Facilities and briefing by Prof. Abdul Jabbar Sangi (Chairman Civil Engg. Dept. NEDUET)
6) Detailed Presentation on Panjwani Hisar Water Institute by Prof. Syed Imran Ahmed
7) Visit of the National Incubation Center Karachi along with a detailed presentation on the incubation and startup activities by Andeel Ali
All the activities were associated with detailed interaction, Q/A sessions, and potential research collaboration.

K-Electric high-level technical Team visited NED University of Engineering and Technology for the prospective collaboration with different research labs and centers working in different R&D and Testing services.

The potential areas of collaboration are as follows:

-Indigenous development on the basis of R&D

The discussion ended with a visit to different R&D/Testing facilities at NED University.
