Ideas often begin with a simple question: what could be done differently?

Across Pakistan, the Enterprise Challenge Pakistan Cycle 10 orientations brought young people together to observe the challenges around them, ask questions and begin imagining possible solutions.

The orientations were more than an introduction to the programme. They marked the beginning of a journey in which everyday problems can become opportunities for creativity, collaboration and enterprise.

With the orientations now concluded, teacher and mentor training is underway to prepare the support system that will guide participants as they develop and strengthen their ideas throughout the challenge.

The journey has begun and we are excited to see where these ideas lead.

Strengthening connections between Pakistan and Sri Lanka through shared opportunities in trade, entrepreneurship and social impact.

Shaista Ayesha, CEO of SEED Ventures, and Samrah Qureshi, Business Development Manager at SEED Ventures, met with H.E. Sanjeewa Pattiwila to explore avenues for meaningful bilateral collaboration between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The conversation focused on building business linkages, mapping markets and creating B2B opportunities for SMEs, women-led businesses and emerging entrepreneurs. It also explored ways to improve market access for women entrepreneurs through partnerships, knowledge exchange and stronger cross-border networks, alongside potential collaboration in youth development, sustainability and cultural engagement.

For SEED, engagements like this are important because enterprise development cannot happen in isolation. Entrepreneurs need access to the right markets, relationships and opportunities to translate their potential into sustainable growth. Connecting local enterprises with international networks is therefore central to building a more inclusive and resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem.

By bringing together SEED’s enterprise-development capabilities and the Consulate’s trade, investment and cultural mandate, this meeting opened a valuable conversation around creating practical opportunities for businesses and communities in both Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The journey continues - and this one marks a milestone.

Enterprise Challenge Pakistan returns for Cycle 10, continuing its journey of creating opportunities for young people to learn, explore ideas, build essential skills and strengthen their confidence in what they can achieve.

The journey travels across cities and communities throughout Pakistan bringing together young people from different backgrounds and opening new spaces for learning, creativity and possibility.

A milestone cycle is about to begin.

Partnerships are at the heart of building a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Through Sindh Sarmaya, SEED Ventures has joined hands with 14 partner institutions across Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro and Sukkur, creating a collaborative network to expand access to entrepreneurship support, capacity building, mentorship and business development opportunities for young entrepreneurs across Sindh.

We are grateful to each of our partner institutions for supporting this journey. Our partnership with Thardeep Microfinance Foundation extends across Hyderabad, Jamshoro and Sukkur, further strengthening Sindh Sarmaya’s reach across the programme’s target locations.

As the outreach and application phase concludes, applications are now progressing through the selection process for the next stage of Sindh Sarmaya. We look forward to introducing the entrepreneurs who will move forward in this journey.

As Enterprise Challenge Pakistan steps into its 10th cycle, we are building stronger pathways to take entrepreneurship and future-ready learning to more young people across Sindh.

SEED Ventures has signed a Letter of Understanding (LoU) with the School Education and Literacy Department Government of Sindh, paving the way for ECP to reach 15 public high and secondary schools across Karachi, Hyderabad and Daharki.

The LoU was signed by Ms. Shaista Ayesha, CEO at SEED Ventures, and Ms. Shazia Qazi, Special Secretary, SE&LD, alongside ECP team members Maha Salman and Hajra Mushtaq.

Enterprise Challenge Pakistan is a joint initiative of SEED Ventures and The King's Trust International , equipping young people with entrepreneurial thinking, life skills and the confidence to shape their future.

This collaboration follows our earlier meeting with Mr. Zahid Ali Abbasi, Secretary, SE&LD, where discussions focused on expanding entrepreneurship and economic learning across public schools in Sindh.

From ideas to understanding how businesses really work.

As part of IMARAH – 5th Cycle, participants took part in an interactive Business Name & Business Type Classification activity, identifying businesses from their everyday surroundings and categorising them as product-based, service-based, skills-based, or a combination of these.

Through group discussion and presentations, participants strengthened their understanding of different business models while also building critical thinking, teamwork and presentation skills.

Learning becomes more meaningful when participants can connect concepts with the world around them.

SEED Ventures CEO, Shaista Ayesha, led an engaging fireside chat with the Qimam Fellowship Pakistan – Class of 2026, sharing reflections from her leadership journey and experience navigating Pakistan’s social enterprise and investment landscape.

The conversation explored resilience, leadership, entrepreneurship and purpose, while giving Fellows the opportunity to ask questions, exchange perspectives and gain practical insights grounded in real-world experience.

At SEED Ventures, we value spaces that connect experience with ambition and encourage the next generation to lead with clarity, courage and purpose.

Continuing our commitment to fostering more equitable and supportive communities, a Sensitization Session for Men & Boys was conducted to encourage meaningful conversations around respect, responsibility, gender equality, and the role men and boys can play in creating positive change.

The session created space for participants to reflect on social expectations, question harmful stereotypes, and explore healthier ideas of strength, empathy, fairness, and shared responsibility. Through interactive discussions and practical activities, participants were encouraged to think about how everyday attitudes and actions can contribute to stronger relationships, safer spaces, and more inclusive communities.

Conducted in partnership with UN Women Pakistan and Management and Development Foundation (MDF), with Kiran Foundation as the Community Engagement Partner, the session reinforced the importance of engaging men and boys as active participants in advancing gender equality and creating lasting social change.
