Attended the PAFLA National Recognition Ceremony - Pakistan Freelance Champions today, and it was a great learning experience. π
The event was organized around Pakistan's growing IT and freelance economy, with a focus on the country's approximately $1.7 billion IT exports. It was great to see so many well-known people from Pakistan's tech and freelance ecosystem under one roof.
I got to hear from and meet people who have experience in freelancing and are now building their own startups, products, and businesses.
There were also several notable guests, including Mr. Irfan Malik , Mr. Ali Dina , Mr. Peterson from Meta, Mr. Rehan Allahwala and other industry leaders, along with PAFLA's founders and co-founders.
One of the key takeaways for me was the importance of building strong foundations while learning how to work effectively with AI.
AI is creating new opportunities in freelancing, but the real advantage will come from understanding the fundamentals and using AI as a tool to improve our work - not simply depending on it.
Overall, it was a valuable experience filled with learning, networking, and new perspectives on the future of freelancing and Pakistan's IT industry.
Grateful to PAFLA - Pakistan Freelancers Association for organizing an event that brings together freelancers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and the wider tech community.
