Learn and explore the craft of writing through artistic freedom and imaginative play! At The Creative Mozart, we sail across the written and spoken mediums of expression. By means of investigation-based learning and ideation training, have your child hit the books with us. The course consists of four components:
Divergent brainstorming – creative and scientific reasoning; understanding reference to context - social, historical and economical; inferring from dialectic. Creative writing – play writing, screen writing, picture compositions, narrative, descriptive and persuasive compositions, book and film appreciation, literary journalism, character reviews. Literary theory – an introduction to literary forms: Novel, poem, drama; and genres: tragedy, satire, epic, comedy, fables etc. Rhetoric or public speaking – elocutions; declamations and speeches to persuade, actuate and inform: press conference stimulations, panel discussions etc. Instructors at Mozart work in partnership with the parents. Following each class, we provide a detailed feedback and evaluation on the student’s progress in terms of their written expression – structure, vocabulary, sentence construction, etc; and spoken expression – argumentative and persuasive skills, rhetorical cannons, etc.
