Rethinking Careers in the Age of AI and Emotional Isolation
Today at APSIS 4 Dots (Malir Cantt), we moved beyond traditional subject selection and into something deeper — curating career ecosystems rooted in logic, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence.
We explored structured academic pathways (STEM, Humanities, Hybrid careers) alongside Ikigai, reframing subjects not as labels, but as stepping stones toward long-term alignment and meaning.
What stayed with me most was the honesty from parents. Many shared concerns about emotional isolation — and how both children and adults are increasingly turning to AI for reassurance, decision-making, and even emotional support. Holding that triadic dialogue between students, parents, and educators felt both timely and necessary.
Grateful to APS for creating space for reflective, future-ready conversations.

You don’t need to be “broken” to need therapy.
If you feel:
• stuck in the same thought loops
• emotionally functional, but mentally exhausted
• constantly overthinking, under-sleeping, over-coping
that’s not weakness that’s your nervous system asking for support.
Therapy isn’t just talking about feelings.
Clinically, it’s about:
🧠 identifying cognitive distortions
🧩 understanding patterns shaped by past learning
🔄 retraining how your mind responds to stress, relationships, and uncertainty
If your inner world is interfering with your outer life — that’s a sign.
Your mental health deserves attention. 🌿
And you’re allowed to take it seriously.

Therapy isn’t easy.
Healing rarely is.
I’ve learned this both as a therapist and as a human
healing is uncomfortable.
In my lifetime, I’ve met so many people
trying to carry pain quietly, wondering if therapy is “too hard.”
But discomfort is often a sign of growth, not failure.
It’s the emotional equivalent of muscle soreness.
And the most important part?
You don’t have to do it alone.
