Hamdard University, the department of computing, Faculty of engineering sciences and technology (FEST) recently organized an industrial visit to the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) for the students of the Computing Department. The purpose of this visit was to provide students with valuable industry exposure and real-world insights into emerging technologies.

The visit featured an insightful panel discussion on “Preparing the Next Generation for Future Jobs” with esteemed industry experts Mr. Muhammad Hassan Naviwala (AI Lead, Maazik Global) and Mr. Hamza Khan (Director Engineering, Salesflo). Students gained practical guidance on career preparation and industry placements, making this visit a highly enriching learning experience.

Ms. Ramsha Qayyum student from the Biomedical Engineering Department has been awarded the prestigious Gold Medal at the 39th IEEEP Multi-Topic International Symposium 2025!

Leading the project "Skin Disease Detection via Hybrid Deep Learning Model", she shined among more than 40 outstanding research entries making Hamdard University one of the top winners!

Supervised by Dr. Muhammad Faris, with key contributions from Engr. Tariq Javid, Ms. Fakiha, and Ms. Khadija, this achievement reflects the power of innovation, teamwork, and academic excellence.

Hamdard University proudly facilitated an insightful industry visit for Department of FEST (NN Block F Campus) to Contour Software Pvt Ltd. This visit provided students from BS Digital Forensics and Cyber Security, BS Cloud Applications Development and Operations, and BS Digital Systems and Web Technology programs with firsthand exposure to the software industry’s evolving landscape.

From exploring project management practices to understanding the essential soft skills required for career success, students gained valuable insights into teamwork, time management, and effective communication. An interactive session on interview handling further equipped them with confidence-building strategies and professional communication techniques, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.

A special thanks to Muhammad Kamran, Miran Ul Haq, Ushna Nehal, Hassan Ahtesham, Kashan Mukhtar, Abbas Hassan, and Abbas Hunaid for their valuable guidance on the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) field , helping students understand the industry's demands and expectations.

Hamdard University Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology and Computing Society organized an enriching educational trip to TDF MagnifiScience Centre, where experiential learning brought science to life!

A group of 150 students explored Pakistan’s first interactive science centre, engaging with hands-on exhibits, scientific demonstrations, and immersive activities designed to ignite curiosity and critical thinking. From discovering the wonders of a wetland mangrove ecosystem to experimenting with interactive displays aligned with real-world applications, this trip was a journey of knowledge, innovation, and discovery.

Special thanks to the respected Dean, Dr. Amir Saleem, and esteemed faculty members, Dr. Shahid Munir, Ms. Nageen Shahid, and Ms. Aqsa, for fostering a dynamic learning experience. Together, we continue to inspire future engineers and innovators!

Hamdard University first-semester students from the Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology, enrolled in the Functional English course (AI, SE, and CS), took part in dynamic team-building activities under the expert guidance of Ms. Nageen Shahid. These activities fostered essential 21st-century skills, including team collaboration, time management, adaptability, flexibility, and cross-cultural communication, all while encouraging innovative approaches to problem-solving.

The students celebrated their learning journey in the presence of the esteemed Vice Chancellor of Hamdard University, Prof. Dr. Syed Shabib-ul-Hassan, Prof. Dr. Kaleem Ahmed Gias, and the Chairperson of the Computing Department, Dr. Shahid Munir.
