We're pleased to announce that we’ve renamed two of our primary galleries!

We invite you to take a Pilgrimage to Gandhara, which narrates the story of Buddha through over 16 statues, showing every phase of his life from his birth to his death.

And whilst you immerse yourself in that experience, don’t forget to visit the Valley of the Gods, which more than ten Hindu Gods and Goddesses call their home, which include some rare depictions!We’ve also designed logos each gallery, and are particularly proud of our Valley of the Gods one—can you guess the inspiration behind it?Come visit us to find out more! We’re open all week (except Wednesdays) from 9am to 5pm

We're super excited to announce the renaming of our !

Welcome to the , where we invite you on a journey through the kingdom of to witness the lift story of the founder of one of the world's oldest religions: Buddha.

This story is told through more than 16 beautiful and original statues, without a single replica in the whole exhibit- every piece is original schist stone, hand carved centuries ago.

Disguised as a dwarf, he asked Bali the king for a plot of land that was as big as 3 of his paces. Bali granted the wish as a whim, after which Vamana transformed into Vishnu.

Taking the earth and the heavens in his first two strides, he didn't take the third step, leaving the underworld in the third stride for Bali. This is why he's often depicted with one leg up, just like in our depiction here!

One is the preserver of the universe, and seated on his thigh is his wife and source of life, the goddess of wealth and good fortune.

Where Brahma is the creator of the universe, Vishnu is the preserver of it. His blue skin embodies both the cosmos and the oceans, as he stands as one third of the Trimurti.

In this depiction, he is flanked by two consorts, and is seen with a mace and a conch. One representing his anger and power, the other representing purity, calmness, and perfection, Vishnu is a sight to behold.
