Highlights from the Seminar on Aligning B.Ed. (Secondary) with Teacher Licensing, co-hosted by Steda-GOS, Durbeen, Ziauddin University, and Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development, Pakistan.
Representatives from universities, NACTE, Sindh HEC and Universities & Boards gathered to discuss variations in the B.Ed. Secondary program across Sindh and its implications for the Teaching License regime. Through presentations, breakout sessions, and rich discussions, participants explored solutions to align the B.Ed. (Secondary) curriculum with Matriculation subjects, ensuring that teachers are well-prepared for teaching at the Secondary level. This collaborative event marked a significant step toward a unified vision for achieving quality in teacher education.
Course Highlight: Teaching Science with Models
Semester 1 student-teachers, enrolled in the General Science course, demonstrate the use of static and working models as effective instructional tools to simplify and explain complex scientific concepts to primary aged learners.
