A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity, where as an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. This is why most people often miss opportunity because it's dressed in overalls and looks like work. When a great moment knocks on the door of your life, it's often not louder than the beating of your heart, and it's very easy to miss it if you are not prepared for it. Just like the saying goes, that it is better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one, than having an opportunity and not been prepared. Think about it for a moment and have a great weekend.

Recently I heard of someone who, in the name of self love and self acceptance, is promoting statements such as "bipolar and proud" , "depressed and proud" etc.
Sahi hai, let's also promote 'diabetic and proud', 'cancer sufferer and proud' 'schizophrenic and proud'. Psychological illnesses such as the depressive disorders or bipolar etc are nothing to be celebrated, just like having a physical illness is not something to be celebrated. At the same time, both types of illnesses also aren't things to be ashamed about. The opposite of shame is not pride, it's not like "you can either be ashamed or you can wear your illness like a badge of honour". And accepting is not the same as celebrating.

You can't defeat the stigma by saying you're proud of being mentally ill, that in itself makes you mentally ill. And you definitely can't get or feel better if you're suffering from a psychological illness because, if you're so proud of it, why would you even want to get better?

Pls stop spreading baqwas like this. If you see it, please put an end to it in a kind way. So many youngsters come into counseling who label themselves with disorders and then act pleased about being bipolar or borderline etc. There's nothing to enjoy when you're actually ill, and people who promote these sorts of misinformed statements just make it harder for those suffering.
