A Historical Event | Biggest Iqbal Day Event In The History of North America International Iqbal Society, Canada Chapter in Partnership with the Consulate General of Pakistan in Toronto, celebrated the 139th birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA). We have in past celebrated Iqbal Days in Mississauga, Toronto and Scarborough. This year our destination was Milton, Ontario. This Iqbal Day event was held at the magnificent, state of the art Milton Centre for Art which is located at 1010 Main Street East. in Milton on the evening of Friday the 11th of November, 2016. The keys highlights included: Session 1 - Kalam e Iqbal, Lauh bhi tu qalam bhi tu which was recited by Mr. Waseem Haroon. - Bache ki dua - A Kids performance by the kids from our monthly study circles - Key note address by Dr. Taqi Adedi, his topic was "Iqbal's message of hope in the time of turbulence". - Panel discussion hosted by Noman Bokhari and the guests included Dr. Taqi Aabedi, Dr. Zafar Bangash and Mr. Amir Saulat Jafri. - Short talk by Ms. Iqra Khalid (Member of Parliament, Erin Mills riding ) - Gifting ceremony and thank you notes by sponsors - Speech by Mr. Imran Siddiqui (Consul General of Pakistan, Toronto) Session 2: Mehfil e Kalam e Iqbal by the melodious voices from the GTA presented in association with Mr. Peter Bhatti and Mr. Tanveer Joseph from International Christian Voice. These artists are very well renowned singers and musicians from Pakistani Christian community in Canada Kalam e Iqbal presented was from Baal e Jibreel Part 1, Part 2 and Poems. Kalam recited: 1: Lala e Sehra (Yeh Gumbad e Meenai), 2: Aijaz hai kisi ka, ya gardish e zamana and 3: Dayar e Ishq main, apna maqam paida ker by Mr. Albert Kamran 4: La phir ik baar wohi baada o jaam ai saqi and 5: Na tu zameen ke liye hai na aasman ke liye by Sheeza Sabir 6: Nigah e faqr main shaane sikandari kia hai by Raja Harrison 7: Tu abhi reh guzar main hai and 8: Wohi meri kam naseebi, wohi teri benayazi by Philip Patrick. On Sunday, 24th of July, 2016, IIS Karachi Team in collaboration with Raah.tv arranged a session on Allama Iqbal's famous poem, Masjid-e-Qurtuba. Professor Dr. Muhammad Wasay (Head of Neurology, Agha Khan Hospital) presented his views on this poem followed by a question/answer session. The participants found this session very informative and insisted Team IIS to keep arranging such sessions regularly.

ہمدرد فاؤنڈیشن پاکستان اور محکمہ آثار قدیمہ حکومت پنجاب نے عالمی مجلسِ اقبال کے اشتراک سے " اس دور میں تعلیم ہے امراض ملت کی دوا " کے عنوان سے 5 نومبر 2015 کو جاوید منزل میں پروگرام منعقد کیا۔

اس پروگرام میں مختلف تعلیمی اداروں کے بچوں نے تقاریرکیں او ر کلام اقبال پیش کیے۔

On Sunday, 11th of October, IIS - International Iqbal Society's Karachi Team held a study circle to discuss the famous Poems of Allama Iqbal, Shikwa and Jawab-e-Shikwa.
Shaheens of Iqbal actively participated and shared their views and understanding about the two poems.
Team IIS Karachi will continue to hold such discussions in future as well.

Highlights of the Study Circle arranged by IIS - International Iqbal Society Karachi Team on Sunday, September 13, 2015. Topic of this study circle was, "An Introduction to the Works of Iqbal."
The response of Shaheens of Iqbal was tremendous as we had to run out of space. Participants shared their knowledge and experiences and ensured their consistent presence in the upcoming activities of IIS.

On Sunday, 16th of August, IIS - International Iqbal Society Karachi Team held a study circle to discuss the various aspects of Iqbal's Concept of Muslim State.
Shaheens of Iqbal actively participated and shared their views and understanding about the topic.
Team IIS Karachi will continue to hold such discussions in future as well.

On Saturday, June 13, 2015, Team IIS arranged a Study Circle on Iqbal's World View in Light of 'Khizr-e-Raah' with the existing and new members of Karachi.
The session was successful. Thank you all for being with us, looking forward to your continuous contribution for this cause.

On Sunday, May 10, 2015, Team IIS arranged a meeting with the existing and new members of Karachi.
The meeting was successful as we discussed some future plans to hold regular learning activities in Karachi. Thank you all for being with us, looking forward to your continuous contribution for this cause.
