Applications for the Young Reporters Programme (YRP) for the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games (Winter) are now being accepted. This program welcomes full-time or part-time students, or recent graduates, of Journalism, Public Relations, or Mass media aged 21-25 to cover the FISU Games while receiving specialized media training.
Selection criteria, required documents, and additional information can be found in the attached brochure as well as on the FISU website.
Students are requested to send applications latest by 15th September, 22 for further necessary action, please note that HEC would have no financial liability against the said offer.
Key Elements:
1. Training will centre around written press, multimedia, digital media, public relations and organisation of sports events.
2. The Young Reporters will be required to participate in all training sessions and will have multiple reporting assignments.
3. Assignments every day. Each participant must be able to produce content in the various areas of media and communication previously listed (i.e. written press, digital media etc).
4. The programme instruction will be all in English.
Essential technology needed for the course will be provided, but participants will be required to bring their own personal equipment (laptop computers, tablets, voice recorders, smartphones, etc.) as they see fit to fulfill their assignments.
5. The cost of economy return air tickets and/or transport to Lake Placid will be covered in full. Accommodation, meals and on-site transport are also covered by FISU.
