Bugs gave our young scientists plenty to investigate this week.

A closer look revealed unexpected details and raised new questions. With their toolkits and sketchbooks, students took their classroom understanding outdoors, searching for familiar features in real habitats and recording what they noticed.

Scientific inquiry, with a little dirt under its fingernails. Learning beyond the textbook, where knowledge is put into practice.

Along the Willow Trail, students encounter questions worth following and ideas worth pursuing. Each path leads to a distinct learning environment, inviting exploration that nurtures independent thinking and curiosity.

An extension of the classroom, the Trail brings academic rigour into the outdoors, where nature becomes an active part of learning.

Understanding an emotion begins with being able to name it.

Social and emotional learning is central to Willow’s approach. Through reflection and conversation, students find language for their feelings and recognise that others may feel differently.

With thoughtful guidance, students learn to regulate their emotions and navigate relationships with care.

At the Mud Kitchen, natural materials become a starting point for imagination and discovery. Children mix, pour, shape, gather, and begin again, following ideas as they unfold.

In these open-ended moments, confidence grows, thinking becomes visible, and learning feels deeply their own.

A gentle introduction to Willow, where little ones can explore, wonder, and experience the world alongside someone they love.

Across 8 thoughtfully curated sessions, you and your child will:

* Share stories, songs and rhythms
* Wander through Willow’s gardens and outdoor spaces
* Discover textures, materials and the natural world
* Move, create and explore through open-ended experiences
* Find moments of connection, together

Each session brings together story, nature, music, movement and discovery, thoughtfully woven into experiences that invite little ones to notice, engage and make sense of the world around them.

Little Saplings is a space for shared discovery, meaningful connection and the simple joy of being together.
