It has been quite a ride, hasn’t it? Looking back at the Class of 2026 today, our hearts are incredibly full.
We still remember those first-day jitters; the nervous energy of new beginnings. Since then, we’ve had the front-row seat to your journey, watching you navigate every challenge and celebrate every triumph. Seeing you grow into the kind, capable, and bright individuals you are today has truly been our greatest privilege.
The school will definitely feel a little too empty without you conversing in the hallways. But as you head off to start your next chapters, know that we are so proud of where you’re going. And remember, no matter how far you go, our doors will always be open when you want to find your way back home. 💛

We are incredibly proud to celebrate three of our students, from Junior and Senior School, for their outstanding achievements at the 18th Art Beat - National Child Art Competition by The Little Art.
🌟 Aaira Rabi (VC) secured 4th Position and received a Gold Medal. She attended the National Exhibition and Prize Distribution Ceremony at the Zahoor ul Akhlaq Gallery, at National College of Arts, Lahore - a truly remarkable honour for such a young artist.
🌟 Nabiha Zeeshan (Grade VII-A) also achieved 4th Position and won a Gold Medal. While she couldn’t make it to the ceremony, her artwork was displayed at NCA on 13th February, giving her creative voice a national platform.
🌟 Inayaa Fahad received a Silver Medal, adding yet another proud milestone to this celebration of talent.
These achievements reflect not only artistic skill, but dedication and the confidence to express one’s perspective through art. Many congratulations to Aaira, Nabiha and Inaaya, their parents, and our Art Teachers for facilitating and encouraging our students to go beyond the lines.
May this be just the beginning of many more canvases, colours, and accomplishments ahead. 🎨✨

Art is often perceived as a hobby rather than a serious pathway; it isn’t always recognised for its versatility or scope. Yet, our Art & Photography Exhibition with Karachi Festival challenged that notion, showcasing work that reflects not only creativity, but observation, analysis and a growing depth of skill that continues well beyond the classroom. 🎨📸
Featuring students from Grades VII, VIII, and IX, the Art Exhibition brought together a wide range of mediums and explorations: abstract expressions, oil pastels, acrylics, perspective studies, and 3D dioramas inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa. Inspired by artists like Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse, and Salvador Dalí, our Seniors engaged with their distinct established styles while translating them into their own evolving visual language. 🌊
The Photography exhibit highlighted our students’ ability to observe and interpret the world through the lens: capturing light, composition, or narrative across monochromatic studies, product photography, and cultural documentation. Exploring ethnicities, communities and their cultures, the display was an ode to a diverse Karachi that became home to whoever stepped foot in it - a city that belongs to everyone. 🌟

Eid has a way of arriving softly and all at once - in the quiet of the early mornings, in homes coming alive at 8 am, in familiar rituals that never quite feel old. ✨
The charm of Eid lies in its in-between moments of getting ready, sharing stories, meeting your loved ones, and the barrage of salams over Eidi received and given. 🥰
Wishing you a warm, gentle, and joy-filled Eid Mubarak 🌛

Last week, we invited parents for an interactive briefing to walk them through the academic pathway available to our Seniors. We focused on helping parents understand the subject choices ahead, particularly electives; what they include, how they are assessed, and the many directions they can open up for students in the long run.
Subjects like Global Perspectives help students develop critical thinking while becoming more aware and engaged with the world around them; nurturing thoughtful and active participants in society. Parents were also introduced to Art & Design, exploring its modules, exam structure, and the diverse career pathways it can lead to - reflecting the dynamic and expanding nature of today’s creative industry.
Adding a particularly meaningful perspective was illustrator and AMI alumna Sana Kirmani, who shared her own journey from studying Art in O Levels to graduating from IVS and building a career in illustration. Through her work in branding, publishing, print projects and marketing, she demonstrated how creative skills can translate into a wide range of professional opportunities and long gone are the days of ‘starving artist’ trope.
Our focus was on encouraging parents to encourage their children to follow the path they are interested in. With curiosity, dedication, and the right guidance, possibilities have a way of expanding far beyond what we initially imagine.

This Women’s Day, we set aside time to prepare a small creative treat for the wondeful women who shape our school every day.
We spent the morning with our teachers unwinding with a creative self-care session and taking a short break from our busy schedules. Brushes, colours, and warm conversation were the highlights of our morning; a reminder to all of us that creativity can be its own kind of reset.
Once again, a very Happy Women’s Day to all the women who have been a part of our school at any point, as students or as part of our team - we wouldn’t have been able to come this far without you. 💛

Our Certificate Ceremony could not have been better timed, keeping in mind the global tensions at present. In a world where the interest of the masses are sidelined for the interests of a select few, education institutes recognise the pressing need to raise future leaders who are conscientious - leaders who will advocate for the well-being and betterment of policies that continue to benefit communities beyond their own.
Our Certificate Ceremony commended the efforts of our Seniors, who stepped out of their comfort zones this year to tackle new challenges head on. Several students stepped forward to focus their time, energy and creativity on Kiva Square - A Marketplace for Wellness. They went above and beyond to turn Kiva Square into a safe space for the community to explore; through murals which received praise and content creation which was applauded.
Furthermore, let’s not forget their participation and distinction in the MUN’s they participated in this year. They stood proudly and boldly represented the interests of the countries they were tasked to represent. They embodied exemplary leadership skills, learned how to critically navigate different perspectives, and articulate their thoughts with confidence. These are skills that will extend beyond the classroom, equipping our students with the necessary tools to become the change makers and leaders of tomorrow.

As we mark 43 years of The AMI School, we find ourselves caught between two co-existing realities. We would like to hold space for the joy and celebration our students and staff eagerly look forward to each year, and yet we must also acknowledge their concerns, anxieties and open dialogue pertaining to the the ongoing state of global affairs.
Today, we can’t help but reflect upon a panel discussion hosted at , about how the future is circular and how an individuals’ action influences a future which returns to them and the generations to follow. As a community, are we leaving behind sustainable practices with a secure future, or are we sowing the seeds for uncertainty amongst our youth?
Taking its root from Beginner’s Montessori in 1983 to introducing multiple brands under EWPL, our goal was simple: to give back to our community through education. Starting with the introduction of AMI Daycare & Learning Centre, Kiva School, and Paar - A Life-readiness Program for individuals with special educational needs. Naturally, we feel a deep sense of gratitude toward our teams, partners, students and parents, with whom we have grown exponentially over the years.
However, this feeling of gratitude does not exist in silo. We recognise the importance of coming together at this time and not losing sight of what the community truly needs; a safe space to express, a hand to hold, an ear to listen and a warm embrace to comfort a community in pain.
We are with our community at this time. 💛

How do you measure success - is winning the goal or having fun while you participate and try your best?
At AMI, we value effort and celebrate each participation, big or small. There is no one-size-fits-all policy; because we are all individuals with different processes and can only try our best. Our Medal Ceremony for Senior School was a reflective time for us; where we celebrated all of our wins but we also want to acknowledge the effort and hard work behind the scenes.
It is not easy winning a medal, we’ve seen firsthand how it requires time, attention and work to achieve that. Right alongside that, we’ve also seen the grit and determination of all our students who chose to get back up over and over again; to keep trying regardless of the outcome.
Congratulations to our Seniors for such a successful Sports Day! We hope you had a great time and are celebrating your wins with your friends! 🎉
We know all of you did your best, and hey, best case scenario you had fun, worst case scenario, you got your heart pumping and moved your body a bit! 😉
