🕊️ A Powerful Guest Speaker Session | PYP 3–4

As part of our International Day of Peace and Literacy observance at The International School, our PYP 3 and PYP 4 learners had the opportunity to participate in an inspiring guest speaker session with Ms. Jamila.

Through meaningful conversations, engaging reflections, and age-appropriate discussions, our young learners explored the importance of peace, kindness, empathy, respectful communication, and the power of education in creating a more harmonious world.

The session encouraged students to think beyond the classroom and recognise that peace begins with the choices we make every day—how we listen, how we communicate, how we respect different perspectives, and how we support one another.

In true IB PYP spirit, the session nurtured our learners as open-minded, caring, reflective, and principled individuals, empowering them to become positive contributors to their communities and the world around them.

🎨 The Broken Symphony | DP1

Art becomes a powerful language when words are not enough. As part of our International Day of Peace and Literacy observance at The International School, our DP1 students expressed their understanding of peace, conflict, and human connection through a thought-provoking painting titled “The Broken Symphony.”

The artwork represents the contrast between harmony and disruption—reminding us that peace is not simply the absence of conflict, but the presence of empathy, understanding, dialogue, and respect.

Through colour, symbolism, and creative expression, our students explored how individual voices can come together to create a more harmonious world. Their work reflects the spirit of an IB education, where students are encouraged to think critically, communicate meaningfully, and become compassionate, globally minded individuals.
