Motivating learners to attain their potential

Background:

With the exponential increase in the number of medical and dental colleges in Pakistan over the last decade, there is a serious concern about the quality of both student intake and faculty teaching. Due to heavy student influx, institutions have had to hire faculty, based on merit, who may not have effective teaching skills. This has resulted in the presence of a significant number of students who need individualized academic assistance in order for them to attain the desired minimum competence.

Why do we exist? (Mission):

Establishment for Medical Education and Research for Juniors (E.M.E.R.-J) provides academic support to undergraduate medical and dental students. It strives to motivate students to work hard, address individual educational needs and thereby achieve success.

Methodology:

E.M.E.R.-J works with the most qualified and the best dental and medical faculty possible. These highly experienced and qualified faculty members will teach in groups and ensure that individual queries are solved. Lectures will be interspersed with practice questions and feedback. Students will be encouraged to spend time with resource material on-line so that they get more practice.
