From Letters to Reading - Our Young Readers in Action | Pingu's English School
Reading is not just a skill, it's the foundation of all learning, and at Pingu's English School, we make this foundation strong, joyful, and meaningful.
In this video, our young readers are confidently demonstrating their early literacy skills. Through our structured phonics-based approach, children are learning to identify beginning sounds, recognize spellings, and read three-letter words with understanding.
From CAT and COW to BUS, BALL and BOY, our learners are not just reading words, they are connecting sounds, images, and meanings. Activities like "Do you remember the beginning sound?" help build phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and reading fluency, which are essential for lifelong learning.
What makes this moment truly special is their confidence. The way they point, sound out letters, spell independently, and celebrate with a high-five shows that learning at Pingu's is interactive, encouraging, and child-centered.
We at Pingu's English School follow the UK-based Early Years curriculum powered by Cambridge, where reading is developed through play, exploration, and guided practice. Our goal is to nurture independent readers who love to read, not just learn to read.
We are incredibly proud of our little readers who are taking their first big steps into the world of literacy with such enthusiasm and joy.
