Sometimes, staring in the mirror feels more like facing a stranger than a friend. We get caught up in a whirlwind of "shoulds" and "could haves," forgetting the incredible person staring back. But loving yourself isn't about some sudden, blinding flash of adoration. It's a quiet revolution, a gentle shift in how you see yourself.

Imagine yourself as a dear friend. You wouldn't hold their every misstep against them, would you? You'd offer a hug after a setback, a listening ear when they're down. So why not extend that same kindness to yourself? Forgive the burnt cookies, the missed opportunity, the moments you feel like you fall short. We're all human, a beautiful mess of experiences and flaws.

Loving yourself means becoming your own cheerleader, celebrating your quirks and celebrating your triumphs. It's about nourishing your body with good food and enough sleep, treating it like the incredible vessel that carries you through life. It's carving out time for the things that set your soul alight, whether it's dancing like nobody's watching or getting lost in a captivating book.

This journey of self-love is a marathon, not a sprint. There will be days when doubt creeps in, but remember, you're worthy. You're strong. You're capable of amazing things. And with each act of kindness to yourself, with each stolen moment of joy, you build a foundation of love that empowers you to live a truly fulfilling life. Take a deep breath, smile at your reflection, and embark on this beautiful journey of self-discovery. You deserve it.
So... Is Your Mirror Your Enemy or Your Ally?

AsiaTefl committee would like to invite you to Webinar Five, organised by the AsiaTefl Webinar Series Committee 2022. They have run the webinar series five times this year, and this is the final one, so you are welcome to attend. The theme is Doing Research in ELT by Graduate Students: Tenacity, Tears and Triumphs.

This webinar will take place via Zoom on November 26th, 2022 at 1pm Thailand time. We recommend that you check the time in your time zone.

For this webinar, we have brought together five speakers who have worked on their PhD research during the times of COVID-19 (some have already completed their PhD, while the others are at the final stage of completing it). They will tell us about the research they have done and how the global pandemic has affected their work. According to the theme, we believe their thoughts and current research will provide us with ideas on how they managed to conduct the research during such difficult times.

As always, please register before attending the webinar. It's FREE, and the link is https://forms.gle/WG7ZPJYE5axbHLMh7
