''Women International Day'' and VIOLATION OF WOMEN'S RIGHTS IN PAKISTAN
Poor girls and women are trafficked and subject to forced marriage, forced conversion, r**e, forced prostitution or exploitative work situations such as bonded labor. (Karachi Pakistan) - Mrs. Uzma Gill Co-ordinator of New Life Health Organization (Women Development Sewing & Skill Training Programme ), focusing on "The Project of Women Empowerment" in Pakistan. She is very energetic and active in the field of women rights, she had to face many hardships during her campaign for women rights.
"We have many challenges about the violation of women rights in our country and our day to day challenges as being a minority in Pakistan", said Mrs. Uzma Gill.
International women’s Day 2014 is being celebrated globally including Pakistan today on 8th March 2014 with the theme and object “Equality for women is progress for all”.
We know that women in Pakistan have been denied the equal rights from the level of gender, economic, social, civil to political. In some places and families, women are denied not only the right to education, but also the right to decide issues relating to their marriage and divorce. Those who are being denied these rights are more likely to be deprived of the right to legal redress. Often the cases of such abuses are compounded: poor girls and women are trafficked and subject to forced marriage, forced conversion, r**e, forced prostitution or exploitative work situations such as bonded labor. These deprivations are manifestations of discrimination against women and girls in Pakistan.

Female Infanticide is killing of a newborn girl child or of a matured foetus. The practice of female infanticide is on a rise in most of the developing countries especially in Pakistan and India. The inhuman practice of female infanticide originates in the discripant attitude of the society where the women are considered an inferior gender and men are seen as the one to carry forward family name and the sole bread winner in the family. Moreover, due to the practice of marriage dowery, girls are considerd as burden by their families. All these factors lead to a culture based on gender inequality.

Hundreds of innocent lives are brutally taken away every minute aroud the world. Some unborn, some who have just entered the world yet to discover the beauty of it. In India, women are put under intense pressure to give birth to sons. Inspite of laws preventing s*x determination tests and abortion based on the gender of the child, this practice is becoming popular even in the urban areas of India. As per a study, around 1.1 million girls are aborted in India every year. Whereas in Pakistan, due to 'One Child Policy' the rate of abortion of female foetus is on a rise at an alarming rate.

I, therefore pledge all of you to take a step forward and start a movement against Female infanticide. Spreading awareness and educating the masses about the issue is probably the best way to deal with this social evil as even though there are laws that prohibit this practice, preventing the practice is possible only when the attitude of the society is altered. Therefore, Join this movement, spread a word and become an active member of this cause.

The neoliberalization of the late 1980s resulted in the increasing informalization and casualization of the Pakistani labor market, spawning a growth in home-based work almost exclusively performed by women and, frequently, their children. This informal sector consists of small units producing goods or services. Its activities are characterized by low levels of capital and skill, with little access to organized markets and technologies. The working conditions are poor; the incomes low and unstable. Highly labor intensive, this sector stands outside the scope and purview of the official statistical machinery or government regulation.

School Education programs
NEW LIFE HEALTH ORG
Girls' and Women's Education
School Education programs has a long history of successfully working with local partners to design, execute, manage and evaluate participatory, community-based initiatives to advance the conditions of girls and women. School Education programs help girls enroll and stay in school and help women gain access to or create new educational, financial, and social resources in their communities. School Education programs help girls and women improve their own lives, the lives of their families and the conditions in the their communities. For parents - and especially mothers - this means creating conditions that ensure their daughters have equal access to basic education, are able to make informed decisions about their futures, and are able to protect themselves from trafficking, s*xual exploitation, HIV and AIDS, for example.

By improving educational opportunities for girls and women,School Education helps women develop skills that allow them to make decisions and influence community change in key areas. In turn, these programs have a positive impact on some of the most profound issues of our time: population growth, HIV and AIDS, peace and security, and the widening gap between the rich
