A young man saw his primary school teacher on a wedding.

He went to greet him with all the respect and admiration.

He said to him:

"Do you remember me, Teacher?"

The teacher said: "No, please introduce yourself."

The student said: "I was your student in the 3rd Grade, I am the one who stole the watch of a child in the classroom. I will remind you but I am sure you remember the story."

One of the boys in my class had a beautiful watch, so I decided to steal it.

He came to you crying that someone had stolen his watch.

You asked us to stand so as to search our pockets.

I realized that my action would be exposed in front of the Students and Teachers.

I will be called a thief, a liar and my character will be shattered forever.

You asked us to stand and face the wall and close our eyes completely.

You went searching from pocket to pocket, and when you reached my pocket you pulled the watch out of my pocket, and you continued until you searched the last student.

After you finished you asked us to open our eyes and to sit on our chairs.

I was afraid you will expose me in front of the students.

You showed the watch to the class, and gave it back to the boy, and you never mentioned the name of the one who stole the watch.

You never said a word to me, and you never mentioned the story to anyone.

Throughout my school life, none of the teachers nor the students talked about me stealing the watch.

I thought to myself you saved my dignity that day.

The teacher said: "I can't remember who stole the watch that day, because I searched the pockets of all of you while my eyes were also closed."

Education needs wisdom. We should be able to be such Teachers, such Parents, such Leaders and be able to be for people in such circumstances.

We should always calculate the consequences of our actions. Protecting and reforming is tougher than exposing and expelling👍👍

جِس کے پلّو سے چمکتے ہوں شہنشاہ کے بُوٹ،
ایسی دربار سے بخشی ہوئی دستار پہ تُھو

جو فقط اپنے ہی لوگوں کا گلا کا ٹتی ہو،
ایسی تلوار مع صاحبِ تلوار پہ تُھو

شہر آشوب زدہ، اُس پہ قصیدہ گوئی،

سب کے بچوں کو جہاں سے نہ میسّر ہو خوشی،
ایسے اشیائے جہاں سے بھرے بازار پہ تُھو

روزِ اوّل سے جو غیروں کا وفادار رہا،
شہرِ بد بخت کے اُس دوغلےکردار پہ تُھو

زور کے سامنے کمزور، تو کمزور پہ زور،
عادلِ شہر ترے عدل کے معیار پہ تُھو..!

یوم عـــــــرفہ کے دوران کھینچی جانے والی لاکھوں تصاویر میں اُبھر کر سامنے آنے والی اس سال حج کی بہتــــــــرین تصویر ــــــ کچھ تصاویر محتاج بیاں نہیں ہوتیں۔ دیکھتے جائیے اور اپنی اپنی سوچ کے مطابق معانی پہناتے جائیے ۔..!

اللہ کی راہ میں غریبوں اہل و عیال تنگدستوں کا پیٹ بھرنے کیلئے اور دل میں قربانی کے جذبات اور تقوے کو لیے جانور کے گلے پر پھرنے والی چھری پر اعتراض کرنے والے لبرلز او لنڈے کے لبرلز اس کو بھی ملاحظہ فرما لیں..!

عجب شہر ھے عجب عید ہے
لہو سے سجی یہ غضب عید ہے

کشمیرکی گلیوں میں خون کی بارش
ہر آنکھ میں آنسو بے سبب عید ہے

کشمیرکل بھی مقتل کشمیر آج بھی مقتل
وہاں نہ کل عید تھی نہ آج عید ہے

کس قدر بےحس ہو گئےہیں لوگ۔
کشمیر لہو لہو ھےاور ھم پوچھتے ہیں کب عید ہے !

Today I was running low on pencils so I asked all of my kids to pull out any of my pencils that they had in their desks. I had one student ask me if he could keep his pencils that his mom gave him for school. Of course, I said yes. He then said, “well, I guess I’ll give you a few so my classmates can have them too.” I thought nothing of it and took the pencils that he handed me. When I was sharpening them, I noticed writing on a few of them. I then realized that my student’s mother took the time to write on his pencils. I asked him if he would mind showing me the rest of them. What I read melted my heart:

- You are so talented.
- This will be a great year.
- You are creative.
- You are phenomenal.
- Never give up.
- You can do this.
- You are knowledgeable.
- You are a math whiz.
- You are intelligent.
- Proud of you everyday.
- I love you.
- You have a brilliant mind.
- You are wonderful.
- You are a problem solver.
- Follow your dreams.
- You are perfect.
- I am proud of you.
- You will change the world.
- You are amazing.
- You are the best.
- You are important.

This probably took his mom a few minutes to do yet it lit up his whole day at school. He wasn’t embarrassed that his mom wrote on his pencils. Thanks to his mom, he was reminded of his self worth and wanted to share the same feeling with his classmates. THESE are the things that we should be reminding our kids (both parents AND teachers). Imagine the look on a child’s face when they are reminded that they are important, talented, loved, knowledgeable and so much more. Help them know that someone believes in them and is proud of them in everything they do. Even if you think it is cheesy or you don’t have enough time or that you will have little impact, remember that you may be the only one telling and reminding them these things and EVERY kid needs to know their value. This is why I teach. ❤️

انڈیا کی جیلوں میں چالیس سال وطن کے لیے قید میں رہ کر زبان کٹوا دی لیکن پاکستان مردہ باد کا نعرہ نہیں لگایا.
اللہ پاک مرحوم کی مغفرت فرمائے اور جنت الفردوس میں جگہ عطا فرمائے اور ان کے لواحقین کو صبر جمیل عطا فرمائے آمین...!

عجیب رسم ہے چارہ گروں کی محفل میں
لگا کہ زخم نمک سے مساج کرتے ہیں
غریب شہر ترستا ایک نوالے کو
امیر شہر کے کتے بھی راج کرتے ہیں۔.....!
