Kids and Co Early Years Program

Comments

This is a long due post from my end. It’s the second month of online classes for my son who is part of the Second Steps Program and is currently under Aunty Insiyah Valika. I wanted to take this chance to appreciate the rigorous level of efforts that have been taken to conduct these online sessions.

Starting off with the super organised study packs that have been sent with everything clearly labelled and minutest of the material provided. This has not been prepared for 1 child but for so many kids together and so far not even once we have come across a situation where any student has something missing for the required activity.

Secondly, sending across the weekly plans way in advance so all mothers have the time to prepare in advance and be mentally prepared as well, as all kids are different and handling these toddlers can be a task!

I’m a working mother and also in my 9th of second pregnancy. Juggling this along with a frustrated toddler has become really difficult lately. There have been consecutive days when my toddler has given a tough time during these online sessions but Insiyah has always been available whenever I have tried to consult her regarding different ways in handling my son during these classes. She has guided me of new ways to settle him and it has really worked out for me. I didn’t want to give up at all on these classes and she has supported throughout.

Once again, Thankyou Kids&Co & team!!!
I must say the journey with Kids and Co for me was overwhelming. The teaching methods and the commitment of the school and its staff was commendable. The patience with which the teachers handled kids and were super calm when the children were not showed their professionalism. I feel that to teach children you need to show them love and effection and that is how teachers were able to engage children. During online classes I saw many mothers and fathers who got irritated when children were running in the house but the efforts even then being put in by teachers, I have yet to see something like that. I do not have words to describe how good the whole expereince was and the exponential growth I saw in my childs learning was phenomenal.
I am simplyyyyy in love with the seesaw app! It is such a lifesaver in such times. This post is to truly appreciate the devoted team of kids & co, who is working so hard during Ramazan and quarantine to make the current situation easy & fun for babies.

Keep the activities rolling please!

Lots of Love,
Naqia & Burhanuddin

There aren’t many mother toddler programs available in Karachi so a big thank you to kids and co for opening their doors to such young kids. This program was a refuge- it brought a sense of routine to our mornings, it facilitated important skill building, and was a place for mamas w children of similar ages to come together! The teachers are unbelievably caring and attentive. Thank you kids and co, Huma, Aliya and the rest of the team ❤️

Your child’s preschool days can be some of the most memorable days of their early childhood. Friendships children make during their preschool and kindergarten years are a great support system and can have a tremendous impact on them. Research shows that establishing friendships is an important developmental goal and give children valuable contexts in which to learn and practice skills related to social, cognitive, communicative, and emotional development.
Child psychologists find early childhood friendships contribute to children’s quality of life and ability to adjust to changes within their environments as well. When children establish strong friendships, they have higher self-esteem and are better able to focus on doing well in school. Here are some cuter than cute friends at Kids & Co EYP - how adorable are they?

They say play is the work of children and it’s true! Play is how children learn about the world, themselves and each other. It's as much a part of healthy development as eating vegetables, reading books together and getting a good night’s sleep. Even the United Nations lists play as one of the basic rights of every child. Kids and Co EYP believes in play based learning. Play is a key component of the activities we do to support children in developing early literacy skills. We incorporate a variety of play opportunities with our dedicated children’s indoor and outdoor play areas and toys. Our curriculum is designed to allow for ample time for play. It builds imagination and creativity, fosters cognitive growth, helps with development, improves literacy and and encourages greater independence. No matter what it looks like when children play, they definitely learn. Check out our stories for all the fun play activities over the past few weeks ❤️

Learning about other cultures is a great way to teach children to appreciate the diversity of our human world. By recognizing and celebrating our differences, we can help raise kind children who respect others and makes them feel welcomed and valued. We, at Kids & Co EYP believe it’s our differences that make us most interesting. Learning about other cultures can help children understand different points of view and appreciate special qualities in others. Our kindergarten students have been learning about different countries, cultures, the people, their food, traditions, what they wear, and so
much more. Join us as we show you some of our fun activities as we navigate our way through Japan.

Universal Children’s Day is also known as World Children’s Day and was first established in 1954. It is celebrated on 20 November each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improve children's welfare.
November 20th is an important date as it is the date in 1959 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, and in 1989 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
On Universal Children’s Day we must all get together to promote and celebrate children's rights, to help build a better world for our children.
The theme for 2022 is inclusion for every child. The world is getting ready to mark this day with a focus on standing up for a more equal, inclusive world for each child. Do check out our stories for more fabulous costumes from around the world and the cutest kids ever ❤️

We loved that so many of our students came to school dressed up in traditional clothes to help us celebrate Diwali with some of our staff. We like to mark these special days from all over the world to celebrate diversity and help to bring an awareness of the differences in religious beliefs and practices all over the world. Celebrating diversity promotes a deep understanding of different cultures, and helps us learn tolerance and acceptance. We must do what we can to have a greater understanding of different cultures and communities, promote peace and harmony, and build a better world for our children.

24/10/2022

Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating all over the world! At Kids & Co EYP we believe in celebrating festivals from around the world to honour diversity, and promote peace and harmony. Religious and cultural diversity brings an awareness of the differences in religious beliefs and practices all over the world and gives us a richer and deeper understanding of diverse cultures, allowing us to embrace religious tolerance, understanding, acceptance and a desire to move beyond our differences. Diwali, or the Festival of Lights, is a five-day-long Hindu holiday and will be celebrated worldwide on Monday, 24th October. Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance".

17/10/2022

The school will remain closed until Monday the 24th of October for our mid-term break. We will be available via our FB and Instagram inbox or [email protected]

We have been learning colours in pre-nursery. Learning colours is a milestone in early childhood and represents a child’s cognitive understanding.
Exposing children to and teaching them about colours develops their visual perception - the ability of the brain to correctly interpret what the eyes see. This is an important pre-reading skill. Here, we are learning the colour green and pasting leaves on our worksheets 🍃

Happy Teachers Day!! UNESCO inaugurated World Teachers’ Day in 1994 to focus attention on the contributions and achievements of teachers, and to highlight teachers’ concerns and priorities regarding education. October 5 was selected as the date to internationally celebrate teachers. World Teachers' Day is an opportunity to celebrate and thank teachers for their important role in our communities and for the positive impact they have on the lives of students. So go on, thank a teacher today who inspires you. And don’t forget to also thank someone who has been YOUR teacher, your guide, your mentor or your hero in the past! We promise - they would love to hear from you ❤️
As we are every day- today, more than ever-we are so grateful to our amazing teachers and staff for their dedication and hard work! We are who we are because of them. Kids & Co EYP teachers- you are the best❤️
