Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, commonly known as SSUET, is a private sector engineering university located in Karachi, Pakistan. SSUET was named after the 19th-century Muslim education reformer Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology was founded by the former Chancellor, Late Z.A. Nizami was the former Director General of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) as well as President of Aligarh Mulsim University Old Boys.

ORIC, SSUET successfully organized an introduction session on Ignite – National Technology Fund and its Prime Minister’s SPARK & ELEVATE Programs.

The session was delivered by Muhammad Hasnain Raza, Assistant Manager Monitoring, Ignite, highlighting funding opportunities for researchers, innovators, startups, universities, SMEs, and industries.

Today marks the 30th Death Anniversary of Prof. Dr. A. T. Khan, former Vice Chancellor of NED University of Engineering & Technology (NEDUET) and the first Vice Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET).

On this solemn occasion, Sir Syed Times pays heartfelt tribute to his distinguished services and contributions to education.

We humbly request everyone to recite Surah Al-Fatiha and pray for his Maghfirat.

Day 01 | ITCN Asia 2026 | MoU with Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology startup Safirrah

Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) proudly participated in Day 01 of the 28th ITCN Asia 2026 at Karachi Expo Centre, showcasing its academic, technological, and innovation ecosystem.

The Honourable Chancellor along with the Dean, Registrar, Director ORIC and other university officials, visited the SSUET stall, interacted with the participating students, and appreciated their efforts, innovation, and representation of the university. ORIC was also pleased to sign an MoU with a startup from SZABIST "Safirrah" on this auspicious occasion.

The participation reflects SSUET’s continued commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, research, and industry–academia engagement.
