Our CEO and Co-Founder, Imran Muhammad Khan's story on starting the Kamyab Career!

FROM A BROKEN FACE TO A BREAKTHROUGH LIFE!
Some accident change everything!

It was a cold January night in 2022. I wasn’t feeling well, but my wife asked me to get some milk and bread for the morning. I hesitated but went anyway. Just a few streets from home, I was adjusting my jacket when—BAM! My bike hit an unmarked speed breaker. The next thing I knew, I was lying on the road, barely conscious, blood pooling in my lap.

My face had taken the worst of it. A broken nose. A fractured upper jaw. A deep cut on my eyelid. In the chaos of that moment, all I could think about was getting to a hospital.

Hours later, after two CT scans, the reality sank in—I needed a major surgery. Five hours under the knife, 10 stitches, and three titanium plates (affixed on my jaw) later, I was patched up. But the biggest blow wasn’t physical—it came when I realized that despite giving 6.5 years to my job at IBA Karachi, I wasn’t even eligible for medical reimbursement.

I had given my sweat and blood to my job. I played key role in the projects that generated millions for the institution. And yet, when I needed support, the answer was simple: “You don’t qualify” (to put the records straight, I was a contractual employee at Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), IBA Karachi, and hence was not eligible for the medical policy).

That was the moment I knew. If my job wouldn’t have my back after years of dedication, what was I really holding onto?

I had spent years guiding entrepreneurs, helping them start and grow businesses. Yet, here I was—too afraid to take the same leap myself.

Fast forward to January 2024 – I resigned from IBA. I took the leap. I launched Kamyab Career, trained 130+ aspirants and entrepreneurs in my first year, built success stories, and crossed 7-figure revenue, AL HAMD O LILLAH!

That accident, which once felt like the worst thing that could have happened to me, turned out to be the best. It forced me to see what I had been ignoring all along: there was something bigger waiting for me.

Sometimes, life pushes us before we’re ready. But looking back, I realize—it was never just an accident. It was a redirection. A wake-up call!

Maybe you’re waiting for a sign, a moment that tells you it’s time for something more. Maybe this is it.

I was once stuck in a 9-5 cycle myself, wondering if there was a way out. Now, I help others find theirs.

What has been your wake-up call?

All the Best 👍
