"IU-ORIC Faculty Industry Placement Program (FIPP 4.0) OUTCOME"
As an outcome of the IU-ORIC's Faculty Industry Placement Program (FIPP 4.0), another promising industry-academia collaboration has been initiated, focused on solving real-world challenges through emerging technologies.

One potential collaborative research project under discussion: “AI/NLP-based Table Extraction from Financial Statements.”

A high-impact meeting was held on 13th May at the Head Office of Meezan Bank with the Digital Transformation and Innovation Team to explore collaborative opportunities in cutting-edge domains, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), and Large Language Models (LLMs).

The Iqra University team included:

• Associate Dean FEST – Dr. Mansoor Ebrahim
• HoD CS – Dr. Israr Ali
• Lecturers – Ummat ul Shaiya and Sofia Aijaz

The discussion revolved around developing industry-oriented research solutions aligned with digital transformation and innovation needs within the banking sector.
