Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) has now officially converted into Karachi Metropolitan University (KMU).

The Islamabad High Court has issued an order stating that the MDCAT 2022 results will be valid for admissions for the next two years. This means that students can apply for admissions this year based on their MDCAT 2022 scores.

However, despite this decision, many universities have already closed their admissions for the current year. It was expected that the Islamabad High Court would provide a comprehensive solution for accommodating students this year, but the current situation is unclear.

In the past, PMDC had announced that MDCAT 2022 scores would be valid for a two-year period. Despite this, both PMDC and universities have refused to accept admissions based on MDCAT 2022 scores for this year. In response to this, a student filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court, leading to the recent decision.

The challenge now lies in understanding how students can effectively benefit from this decision, especially considering that admissions for the current year have already closed in many institutions.

Traditionally, merit lists are made public, but it has come to our attention that the university in Sindh has chosen to upload the merit list privately, which is not in line with proper procedures.
