Our Kindergarten learners celebrated Earth Day through meaningful, hands-on experiences that nurtured both awareness and responsibility.

The children joyfully planted saplings, learning how plants contribute to a greener, fresher Earth and why caring for nature is so important.

They also engaged in sorting activities, placing different materials into appropriate recycling bins, which helped them understand the value of recycling in keeping our environment clean and sustainable. Through guided discussions and simple demonstrations, students explored practical ways to conserve water - such as turning off taps and using only what is needed - recognising that every drop truly matters.

This enriching experience encouraged our young learners to develop early habits of environmental care, fostering a sense of responsibility, mindfulness, and love for the world around them.

Earth Day 2026 unfolded as a powerful and thought-provoking experience, as our students from Grades VI, VII, VIII and IX took centre stage with a shared purpose - to inspire awareness and action for the protection of our planet.

The programme was thoughtfully structured into three compelling segments. It began with a passionate speech that resonated deeply, reminding the audience that the Earth is not an inheritance from our ancestors, but a responsibility we hold for future generations. This was followed by a series of striking environmental facts, presented with clarity and conviction, shedding light on the urgent realities of water scarcity and deforestation.

The highlight of the event was a captivating dialogue-free mime performance centred on the theme ‘Save Water, Save Earth.’ Through powerful expressions and movement, students portrayed the transition from careless consumption to conscious preservation. The silence in the hall reflected the depth of the message - profound, moving, and unforgettable.

This meaningful presentation was a testament to the impact of awareness, empathy, and the courage to inspire change.

Our Junior III learners marked Earth Day through a thoughtful and creative exploration of global responsibility.

As part of their Global Perspective lesson, students designed compelling posters that depicted two contrasting realities of our planet - one illustrating the consequences of deforestation, pollution, and water wastage, and the other showcasing positive actions such as recycling, tree plantation, and water conservation.

This meaningful activity enabled learners to recognise the interconnectedness between their choices and the wider world. Through artistic expression, they conveyed powerful messages about environmental stewardship and the importance of sustainable living.

The session was both reflective and inspiring, as students embraced their role as responsible global citizens and emerging changemakers.

Their work demonstrated not only creativity, but also a growing awareness of how even small, mindful actions can contribute towards a healthier and more sustainable planet.
