A New Milestone in Actuarial Education at IBA

IBA has achieved UCAP-AC status from the Society of Actuaries (SOA), becoming the first university in Pakistan to receive this distinction. This recognition aligns IBA’s actuarial curriculum with SOA examination requirements, enabling students to earn VEE credits and strengthen their pathway toward the ASA designation.

This milestone reinforces IBA’s commitment to globally benchmarked education through its BS Mathematics – Actuarial Science specialization.

Beginning the Undergraduate Journey at IBA-SBS

IBA’s School of Business Studies (SBS) hosted its Meet & Greet Session for Round 1 undergraduate students, welcoming prospective students to engage with faculty, explore academic pathways, and gain insights into campus life at IBA.

IBA celebrated World Book and Copyright Day 2026 through a Book Fair and a thought-provoking author talk with Dr. Pippa Virdee, Historian and Author, moderated by Dr. Yaqoob Khan Bangash, Dean, School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS). The event created a meaningful space for conversation, scholarship, and engagement around history, literature, and ideas. The event was organized by the IBA Library.

Advancing Dialogue and Research in Psychology

IBA inaugurated its first Psychology Conference, themed Rediscovering the Roots and Intersectionality of Psychology, led by the Psychology Cluster. The three-day conference brought together students, scholars, and practitioners for dialogue across diverse domains of psychology.

A key milestone was the inauguration of the Psychology Research and Testing Lab (PsychREST), strengthening research and practice at IBA. The conference also featured a keynote by Dr. Nicholas Sarra, of the University of Exeter, and remarks by Dr. Yaqoob Bangash, Dean, IBA-SESS. The conference was organized by the School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS).
