I used to think being smart, logical, and knowledgeable was enough to succeed. Then I read Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman and it completely changed how I see myself and others.

I once feared loneliness. To me, being alone felt like a punishment, so I kept chasing the presence and approval of others. I became so used to seeking attention and validation that I didn’t even realize how empty it was making me inside.
