We are thrilled to announce the date of the upcoming festival.
The Siraj Institute of Sindh Studies is organizing the 4th Latif Art & Literature Festival 2023 with the title "DIVERSE PERCEPTIONS," (اک الٽي ڌار) which will be held on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th, November 2023, at the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, and the Art Exhibition continues until November 12, 2023, at the Arts Council Art Gallery.
This conference, art exhibition, music, and festival are based on Shah Latif's vision, imagination, and writings, which beautifully weave the Indus Valley's essence, culture, landscape, and earthly beauty with a universal soul. His verses reflect the timeless connection between the people, the river and the land, summarizing the spiritual and historical significance of the region.
The theme of the festival, "Diverse Perceptions," is a line taken from Sur Asa, of Shah Jo Risalo.
Perceive diversely and behave differently,
If people flow downward, go upward against the current.
Focusing on the beloved (aim), move in a nonconventional way.
Through his words, Shah Latif awakens the inner eye as a structure of human power and a source of nature, cosmic reflection, and inspiration for generations.
Join us for two days filled with literature, art, music, poetry, books, crafts, food, and endless fun.
