Being among the 170 selected candidates in CSS is a remarkable achievement, and it deserves celebration.

But the reality of limited vacancies, competitive marking criteria, heavy reliance on assessment of particular style of written expression and outdated exam pattern also means that thousands of hardworking, and intelligent candidates with strong analytical and critical thinking skills may not see their names on the list.

And that is where society often gets it wrong.

We have built a habit of defining people by selection lists, as if success and failure are fixed labels.

In truth, they are not.

Not being on a list does not mean you are incapable, less intelligent, or any less deserving. It simply means this particular door did not open this time or it is not your door.

It is okay to celebrate those who made it, but it is even more important to acknowledge those who worked just as hard but could not find their names on the final list.

Failure, as we commonly use the word, is often misinterpreted.

It is not a verdict on ability; it is another opportunity to learn, grow, and improve.

Every attempt carries value. If you have appeared once, twice, or even more, it means you have knocked the door repeatedly, and if it hasn’t opened yet, it simply means your journey is still unfolding…may be this will open on next knock or may be another door is waiting for you.

To those whose names are not in the list:
You are not “left behind.” You are still in motion. You are still in the journey. And your effort does not disappear because a result sheet doesn’t reflect it.

To every candidate who prepared, sacrificed, and gave their best; Your JOURNEY MATTERS. YOU DESERVE EVEN BETTER.

And this is not the end of your story.

BE KIND TO YOURSELF. LOVE YOURSELF A LITTLE MORE TODAY.

We need to stop reducing people into “selected” and “rejected.” Human effort is far bigger than that binary.

Lots of respect, love and appreciation for you all! 💕

I had the privilege of representing the Centre for Alternative Perspectives as Director Communications on the 149th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam. The event was organized in collaboration with the Press Information Department, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, PTV Network, and DHA Suffa University.

Students were presented with a screening of ‘Jinnah Se Quaid’. This initiative was convceived by DGPR Ms. Irum Tanveer with the objective to reconnect young minds with the true constitutional struggle of Quaid-e-Azam and to empower them with the correct narrative, especially at a time when distorted narratives are being propagated by hostile and extremist media against Pakistan. This initiative reflects the need of the hour.
