Educational Institutions Are Non-Political; Education Must Continue Without Disruption — Dr. Syed Tariq Shah

Karachi: Dr. Syed Tariq Shah, Chairman of the All Private Schools Management Association (APSMA) Sindh, has stated that educational institutions are non-political and their foremost responsibility is to ensure uninterrupted education for students.

He said that students have already suffered significant educational losses on several occasions due to various circumstances and disruptions. “Our children cannot afford any further loss of their valuable academic time. Education must continue, and schools should remain open,” he emphasized.

Dr. Syed Tariq Shah acknowledged the serious difficulties being faced by the public due to the continuous rise in prices and the increasing cost of living. He said that inflation has placed tremendous financial pressure on families across the country and that the concerns of the public regarding the price hike are genuine and understandable.

However, he stressed that political activities, protests, strikes, or other circumstances should not disrupt the education of children. Educational institutions must remain separate from political matters, as protecting the academic future of students is a collective responsibility.

“We fully recognize the hardship caused by inflation and rising prices, but at the same time, the education of our children must not suffer. Schools should remain open and academic activities should continue as normal,” he stated.

Dr. Syed Tariq Shah urged all concerned stakeholders to prioritize education and ensure that students are able to attend their institutions without interruption.

Syed Tariq Shah, Chairman APSMA Sindh (All Private Schools Management Association Sindh), participated in the consultative meeting on the Teaching License Policy and its implementation mechanism organized by STEDA - Sindh Teacher Education Development Authority, Government of Sindh.

The session brought together educationists and school leaders to discuss strengthening professional standards in education. Qualified and licensed teachers are key to building stronger classrooms and a brighter future for our students.

سید طارق شاہ، چیئرمین آل پرائیویٹ اسکولز مینجمنٹ ایسوسی ایشن سندھ اور جنرل سیکرٹری پاکستان الائنس آف پرائیویٹ اسکولز ایسوسی ایشنز (PAPSA) نے حالیہ پیٹرول کی قیمت میں 137 روپے اضافے کے بعد حکومتِ پاکستان کی جانب سے دی گئی سبسڈی کے فیصلے کو ایک مثبت قدم قرار دیا ہے اور اسے عوامی ریلیف کی جانب اہم پیش رفت کہا ہے۔
تاہم انہوں نے اس امر پر شدید تشویش کا اظہار کیا کہ یہ سبسڈی صرف موٹر سائیکل سواروں، پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ اور مال بردار گاڑیوں تک محدود رکھی گئی ہے، جبکہ اسکول وینز کو اس میں شامل نہیں کیا گیا، جو لاکھوں طلبہ کی روزانہ تعلیمی رسائی کا بنیادی ذریعہ ہیں۔
سید طارق شاہ نے کہا کہ اسکول ٹرانسپورٹ کسی بھی طرح عیش و آرام کی سہولت نہیں بلکہ ایک بنیادی ضرورت ہے، جو براہِ راست تعلیم کے تسلسل سے جڑی ہوئی ہے۔ اسکول وینز کو سبسڈی میں شامل نہ کرنے کے باعث طلبہ، والدین اور تعلیمی اداروں کو شدید مشکلات کا سامنا ہے اور تعلیمی سرگرمیاں متاثر ہو رہی ہیں۔
انہوں نے حکومتِ پاکستان سے پُرزور مطالبہ کیا کہ اسکول وینز کو بھی فوری طور پر اس سبسڈی میں شامل کیا جائے تاکہ تعلیم کا سلسلہ بلا رکاوٹ جاری رہ سکے اور والدین پر اضافی مالی بوجھ کم ہو۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ملک بھر کی تمام نجی اسکول ایسوسی ایشنز اس مطالبے پر متفق ہیں اور حکومت کے ساتھ ہر ممکن تعاون کے لیے تیار ہیں، تاہم تعلیم جیسے اہم شعبے کو نظر انداز کرنا کسی صورت قابل قبول نہیں۔
تعلیم کو ہر حال میں ترجیح دی جانی چاہیے۔

تعلیم: ہمارا آئینی حق، ہماری قومی بقا! 🇵🇰
آئینِ پاکستان کا آرٹیکل 25-A پکار رہا ہے: 5 سے 16 سال کے ہر بچے کو مفت اور بلا تعطل تعلیم فراہم کرنا ریاست کا فرض ہے، احسان نہیں۔
تعلیمی اداروں کی مسلسل بندش اور غیر ضروری چھٹیاں صرف غیر قانونی ہی نہیں، بلکہ ہمارے بچوں کے مستقبل پر شب خون مارنے کے مترادف ہیں۔ جب کلاس روم خاموش ہوتے ہیں، تو قوم کی ترقی تھم جاتی ہے۔
وقت آ گیا ہے کہ ہم جاگیں! والدین، اساتذہ اور پوری قوم مل کر اس غیر آئینی اقدام کے خلاف آواز اٹھائے۔ تعلیم میں تعطل اب مزید قبول نہیں۔
ہمارا مطالبہ: اسکول فوری کھولے جائیں!
