Karachi – 10th September 2025
The All Private Schools Management Association Sindh (APSMA) has announced that all private schools across Sindh will reopen on Thursday, 11th September 2025.
Chairman APSMA, Syed Tariq Shah, stated that with the improvement in weather conditions and roads becoming safer for commuting, the association has decided to resume classes. However, in areas where the situation is still affected by waterlogging, flooding, or poor accessibility, school owners are advised to take decisions according to their local conditions in order to ensure the safety of students and staff.
APSMA has further advised all school owners to cover up the loss of academic days by making Saturdays working days in the coming weeks.
Chairman Syed Tariq Shah reiterated that the safety of students, teachers, and staff remains the top priority, and APSMA is committed to ensuring that educational activities continue smoothly.

Closure of Private Schools in Sindh – 10th September 2025
In view of the worst conditions caused by continuous heavy rainfall, urban flooding, and severely damaged road infrastructure across various cities of Sindh, it has been decided that all private schools will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, 10th September 2025.
While this decision should have been announced timely by the Government to allow parents to plan accordingly, no such notification has been issued. However, given the constant rainfall, further forecast of heavy showers, and dangerous commuting conditions, we cannot risk the safety of our students, teachers, and staff.
The management of private schools prioritizes the well-being of children and educators above all else. We urge families to remain safe and take necessary precautions during this difficult time.
