Let's learn

“To have educated the senses is to perceive the beauty in the environment. It is to perceive subtle differences. When you are aware of these delicate differences, the whole world is more fascinating. You can see more than you ever saw before! You are interested in so much more!” Maria Montessori, London 1946

It is widely known that blind people tend to have much greater sense of hearing, smell, taste and touch. Montessori knew this and offered children the choice of using a blindfold while doing many of the classroom activities, to deepen their learning and perception of the world.

The same is still done in great Montessori schools around the world today.
