On August 2, 2025, St. Lawrence's Government Girls Degree College launched a decoration drive to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Month under the supervision of Principal Prof. Samia Ursani. Students and staff enthusiastically participated, showcasing their love and patriotism for Pakistan through creative decorations.

On August 1, 2025, St. Lawrence's Government Girls Degree College hosted a program at its library, under the patronage of Principal Prof. Samia Ursani. The event featured thought-provoking speeches and soulful presentations by faculty members.

Prof. Junaid Ali initiated the program with a recitation and commentary on verses from Surah Al-Saf, setting a reflective tone. Prof. Aliya Moeen elaborated on the concept of "Bunyanum Marsoos" (a strong structure), emphasizing individual duties in upholding societal strength.

Prof. Shafaq Zehra drew parallels with Surah Al-Baqara, verse 190, highlighting the importance of defense and standing against transgressions. The program concluded with Principal Prof. Samia Ursani expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah and acknowledging the Pakistan Army's pivotal role in safeguarding the nation's boundaries.

The event served as a poignant reminder of the importance of unity, defense, and spiritual guidance.

We are immensely proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our alumna, Dr. Maryam Batool, from the 2015-16 batch of St. Lawrence Girls College, Karachi. Hailing from Khaplu, Baltistan, Dr. Maryam has been commissioned as a Captain Doctor in the Pakistan Army. Her outstanding performance during training at the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, earned her three prestigious gold medals.
