Cats Sleep 70% of Their Lives!
On average, a domestic cat sleeps 13 to 16 hours every single day that’s about two-thirds of its life spent napping! This incredible sleep pattern isn’t random; it’s a survival instinct inherited from their wild ancestors. Cats are natural predators, and sleeping helps them conserve energy for hunting (or, in modern homes, for chasing toys).

Some cats, especially kittens and senior cats, can sleep up to 20 hours a day! They typically enjoy short naps called “catnaps”, which last anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours. These naps allow them to rest while staying alert to any sudden movement or noise.
