On October 10, 2025, Children explored the vibrant world of The Colour Monster!
organized by

It was truly engaging to see the children connect with the little monster's jumbled-up emotions. They were absolute stars at helping him sort out his feelings, assigning a different colour to each one:

💛 Yellow for Joy
💙 Blue for Sadness
❤️ Red for Anger
🖤 Black for Fear
💚 Green for Calm
The session was a powerful introduction to the importance of identifying and naming emotions. The children grasped that it's okay to feel all these emotions, but it's essential to understand what they're feeling.
We also had a fantastic discussion on ways to return to that peaceful Green state. The children shared some brilliant ideas for calming down, like:
Taking deep breaths 🌬️
Finding a quiet spot 🤫
Getting a hug 🤗
We need to build a foundation for emotional intelligence, one colourful emotion at a time!

This October, Mental Health Awareness Month, invites your little ones to explore their inner world with our interactive storytelling session on the beloved book, The Colour Monster!

Did you know our kids feelings are like special powers? Sometimes they make them feel as light as a balloon (that's happy!), and sometimes they make them feel as big and loud as a thunderstorm (that might be angry or frustrated!).
It's super important to learn what these feelings are so that when they get bigger, they can be really good at telling people what they need and getting along with their friends. Learning about feelings now helps them grow into a strong, confident, and kind grown-up!
On this Mental Health Month, we want to read a story about all those amazing feelings!
Join us for a cozy story session where we'll meet a character who learns to name his feelings and find healthy ways to let them out!
